I can only host maybe 6 guys at a time. The range is on private property and I don't want to wear out the welcome I have. If we have to do it twice, we can.

My plan is to keep it real simple...a round-robin type shoot-off on the dueling tree and maybe timed shots from the holster on the hostage target.

I'll check my class schedule and come up with a day.

I'm middle aged for the group (at 44) can I come and be the handicap for either side. I'm a great shot; if we're shooting the shit!

Another group/forum I use to "hang out with" would do a member shoot a few times a year. we'd "rent out" a club charge $20 a head, have a pig roast, or BBQ, and do some shooting. We shot a porsche last year (there's been a car shoot every year for the last 4 or so), an annual pumpkin shoot in November, a "frosty shoot" in Jan or Feb. About 5 years ago, there were 20-30 guys that would show up, the counts are now up and over 200ppl...it's a pretty good money maker for a facility.

Ah. As I said before though (I forget if it was this thread or the other one) that was a misrepresentation. Is not my MMA training that gives me confidence. And I apologize if I represented that I think I'm tougher than who I'm talking to. But because of some other skill sets I have I definitely will not retract my statement that I can handle myself just fine against anyone. If they don't know you a lot of old guys will "check your attitude" before wasting a lot of time trying to impart any knowledge. If you've been around Mil or any guy-oriented group surely you are familiar with a "gut check"? I'm an old guy as well but even us old guys learn a lot from guys like Jim and HBAR. Not a problem it's easy to find from 85 or I25 and a straight shot up 85 to Pawnee from here. Let me know if everyone is good with that and when, I'll sweep the shop. Want to avoid September 6th-11th my folks are coming for a visit and weekends are best. I do work 'ya know... when I'm not posting [Beer]

Why not do a south, central and northern shoot. Then take the best of the best and brag on line afterwards.
I'm in just because i have nothing better to do. How hard it is going to be to hit a 4 x 8 section of wood at 15 yards:) We are shooting at the (figurative) side of a barn, no?
