Hey, all:
First, Mods should feel free to move this as needed. Didn't know the right forum.
Myself, some pals, some associates, and some folks I've never met all write different blogs, and we're all working to raise some awareness and funds for male-specific cancers. It's called Kilted to Kick Cancer, and it means that for the month of September, we're all wearing kilts every chance we can... when people ask the inevitable question "What's under the kilt?" I answer "Nothing but a 1 in 6 chance of prostate cancer for men over 40... has your man been checked?"

Here's my buddy Kelly's blog with loads of posts about this:

Last year, we had a smattering of gun-related stuff donated as prizes for those who raised the most donations... holsters, accessories, etc. As an example:
First Place:
*A Ruger .22/45 pistol from Virginia Arms Company.
*A custom gun belt/holster combo from Michael's Custom Holsters.
*A $250 gift certificate from Brownell's.
*A $150 voucher off of a new kilt ($300) from Kilt This, choice of one of their standard designs in your color choice, and one kilt chain.
Second Place:
*A $250 gift certificate from Hornady Ammunition.
*Free registration to one of Todd Louis Green's handgun classes. Todd is one of the most highly regarded handgun trainers around, and he teaches all over the country. Check his site for upcoming classes in your area!
*A $150 voucher off of a new kilt ($300) from Kilt This, choice of one of their standard designs in your color choice, and one kilt chain.
*Custom Dragon Leatherworks Talon holster for your semiauto handgun, inlaid with your family tartan or one of Dennis' standard hide inlays.
What I'm asking is this: Would any of the folks here who do gun work, or gun accessories, be willing to donate? Anything at all is welcome... holsters, gunsmith work, instruction/range time, ammo, etc.
It should go without saying, but I will say it anyway: We are ABSOLUTELY 100% going to be in compliance with applicable laws. No question, no negotiation.
If so, drop me a line. I'll be sure to steer some traffic to your website, your name and business will be plastered across some 50 or so blogs, and you'll rack up a decent karma bonus.
Thanks,
