Thought this looked pretty cool. Hopefully it raises the funds to be completed.

Oh man that looks like an awesome movie...I hope they get the funds they need to make it happen.
Ha! I know a guy who had some small role(s) in that.

that looks AWESOME. Probably never get funded though, after all I think there's still an 80's TV show or two they haven't remade yet. Hollowood sucks.
Ohhh that looks pretty cool. Keeping the fingers crossed!

If they are serious, they ought to look into Kickstarter or a similar thing to get this funded. I'm sure there are enough people ranging from action movie nuts, libertarians all the way down to tinfoil hatters who would toss a few bucks at this. I certainly would.
I mean, a stick figure webcomic raised over a million dollars to publish books and games and stuff. I bet this could reach a modest funding goal if they aren't getting too ambitious with the CGI, and stretch goals could have them including some limited effects.

As long as its not too Alex Jonesy it could be good.
Too bad they can't get it done for the election season.

They have something like kickstarter for movies. I think it was in the youtube description or on their website that is also in the description. The thing that kind of puzzles me, they're only asking for $50,000. Just seems a bit small.

Half the preview was special forces teams executing american citizens in the street. Alex Jones probably gets screenwriter cred for it.

And that is why the Founding Fathers wrote the second amendment, not for self-protection but for the ability to fight tyranny. This looks to be a great movie even if it is a bit unnerving. Actually scares the hell out of me, only because I see our society heading in this direction. And, YES I believe it could happen. Good to inform the sheeple as well!
I am willing to throw in some bucks. Where is the collection?

Who needs Alex Jones? Be a student of both history and human nature...

Upon further research.. they want to document RNC (in negative light) ??

I can't see this being allow to be made. Hell, the remake of "Red Dawn" is still sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Don't see why that should make a difference. The Democrats and the Republicans both are shit parties only looking out for their own well being while playing the populace for chumps.

Because MGM went bankrupt.

If they self-fund production and distribution what would stop them?

K white masked guy at end of trailer is terrifying.
"Everyday is Exactly the Same" by Nine Inch Nails had better make an appearance in that film.
Hmm...I understand (from another board) they're showing the guy I know as a "Former Intelligence Officer" which is a flatout lie. Wonder how much else is false?

Well this is a fictional movie designed to incite fear...Even though I really like the idea for the movie you gotta be realistic and see that this is an agenda-driven fictionalization. If you look at it through that lens it's just a cool looking movie [Beer]

Not so fast... They had to change a few things and re-shoot. The original re-make of Red Dawn was about the Chinese, but they got into hot water over it and had to change it to N. Korea, so now it's all done and ready to come out on 21NOV2012... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1234719/
Might be pretty good actually (but without Sheen or Swayze I'm not holding my breath). They're saying a trailer should be coming out for it very soon. [Beer]

Not sure if I would classify F - E - M - A jack-booted thugs as SF...

No, I mean some of the background things they are saying are not correct, not whatever happens in the movie itself. It wasn't linked here, but they have some "making of" stuff that I'm referring to. That may not have been clear, sorry.
