We did a dyno day today with my MINI buddies. This is a video of my MINI pulling 189 hp and 249 ft lbs of torque. These little cars run like raped apes!

SWEET! I remember when I had my 06 WRX. Pulled 360 HP and 365 T if I remember right, but of course I can't ever find any of the stuff I saved from my Dynos. Those Mini's with the Super Chargers sound pretty nice too. Heard one when it went by me the other day.

This one is an 08, so it is rocking a turbo :). I have a pretty loud BOV on it as well but there was no gear shifting, so you couldn't hear it.

I LOVE running against WRX's and STIs. I am not saying I break the law by racing but I like to see who can get to the speed limit the fastest [Beer]

How adorable? [Tooth]

Kidding aside, 250wtq in a mini is nothing to sneeze at. [Weight]

How did you get so much more torque than horsepower out of a turbo?

Horsepower = (torque x RPM)/5252

Based on this, peak horsepower was made at around 4000 RPM (assuming that peak HP was made at the same rpm as peak torque)

Did you get a graph that shows both torque and horsepower? Anyway you look at it sounds like a fun ride. Can you say torque steer?

I have everything, AF ratio, boost, etc. It was a no-bullshit run. My car is tuned by the factory (John Cooper works) and it pulled exactly as the factory states.

One guy had a 2011 and he wasn't making power. The dyno tech was able to determine that his AF was way too high so he is taking it back to MINI to look for a leak. I am thinking it is in the electronic BOV.

Sorry, I wasn't saying that they are BS numbers. I just wanted to let folks know that those number can exist, the math backs them up. Wanting to see the graph was just curiosity as to where peak torque and HP were actually made.

No worries. I was just happy to have a good run with good numbers. The JCW tune comes with an exhaust, intake and engine tune and it $$$. So, I am glad that the numbers actually match - LOL.

I will scan the runs and post them. Right now, I only have the one chart that shows HP and Torque. The shop is going to email all of the other graphs.
