2 months away from first season rifle for elk...
Time to get in shape!
I did this last year and it rocked, no valley or mtn to high or low where I hunt at. Then, after the elk season, keep with it for upland game birds...

This year, i'm behind the schedule do to work, so i'm hitting the elliptical in the morning, and insanity in the afternoon. 2-a-days, just like the old days in da fooseball...

I was thinking the same thing. Better get off my @SS and get ready to carrry some elk 1/4's. After I have another beer. [Beer]

Why did you stop in the first place? Fitness isn't a goal...it's a lifestyle.

Tried Insanity - too high impact! I can run three miles on my knees but 40 minutes of Insanity has them blowing up.
Nothing like hiking to get ready for more hiking! Throw on a pack and hump a few miles at a good pace every week.

i try to do insanity 4x a week, with other workouts on the elliptical or treadmill to change it up. Missed yesterday because of my stupid arcadia, looks like today will be the same...

One work out that reminds me of insansity is kickboxing. Cardio, strength training and its fun. Being on the mats makes a big difference as well if you experience joint pains.

Insanity is great for cardio, but I feel like it targets the legs too much. My knees are a bit shot and all the lunges and squats kick my ass.
I've been doing Insanity 5 days a week for the last couple months. I'm getting lean and my cardio is good to go, but I don't feel like it's doing anything for my upper body. I think I may dial it back to Mon, Wed, Fri, and replace it with weight training on Tue, Thur, Sat to even it out.
