Anyone know how to retract the item after it sells? I am having issues with the 'support' element of GB

That is, I sold it here, then forgot to take it off GB, then it sold the friggin next day, and I'm stuck with de payment.

Did you put a caveat in your ad that it is subject to sale locally ? If not you may be in a hole and get banned from gun broker for not following through on a legitimate bid/sale.....
Should have withdrawn your ad immediately after selling it locally......

This will be your only saving grace.

...unless you find something you can't live without on GB.

true, but if I can't live without it I'll just over pay for it locally to feed that need

but, most dealers on GB will work with you on most items if you just call them and talk to them about buying off GB. It's rare that I've run accross an item I've been told to go fuck meyself with; It saves them money since they don't have to pay a % of the sale to GB.

It's also rare to find "deals" on there anymore, I notice most "no reserve" auctions are bid up by the dealer themselves or an associated account.

Once it's "sold", there's nothing to retract, the contract has been made pending payment from whomever "bought" it on Gunbroker.

While likely not of any consolation to you, or the buyer, I somewhat doubt this is the first time this has occurred.

Contact the buyer, plead your case, hope he or she is an understanding sort who won't trash your feedback.

Oops... Yeah you need t contact the buyer and hope they are reasonable.

For future reference, you need to go "end this auction early" from your control panel if you sell it off GB and there are no bids yet.

Some buyers get all butt hurt even though no money has been sent, then they go and make a big stink about it.
Check out some of the old threads here about how someone feels screwed over from missing a sale that went bad.....[ROFL1]

How did this story turn out?

I just got another bill for another $11.00 - I will just pay it. Not sure, it was a $425.00 'purchase' So it was about $22.00 or something total.

There is no avenue to cancel this stuff. Can't even find how to close sellers account. I would LIKE to cancel my account, I think they keep taking out $ if you have an open account.[Rant2]

Why do you feel the need to close the account? Gunbroker did nothing wrong. You're the one who forgot to cancel the ad. Actions (and inactions) have consequences. Pay the bill. I think Gunbroker is the best online gun auction website out there. I visit every single day.

GB is a good place to sell, but you have to be careful about the ad-ons or you'll pay more to list items. Photos, counters, searches, all that stuff will cost you extra.

Unfortunately if you list in multiple places, you have to play the closer game quickly after you get a good buyer. Problem is, sometimes your good buyer backs out.

Worst case scenario is selling local and on GB, and you get a buyer local, but a bidder on GB, then you are obligated to wait for the bidding to end :(...

Maybe he doesn't want the account anymore?

This happened to me about 5 years ago with a barrel I was selling. I refunded the buyer and explained the situation, but he still filled out a negative feedback and GB banned me for quite some time.
