Two Day Shoot

Since Wallary's thread got deleted in the recent outage, Discuss. Some how We need to come up with an idea or two to make this work. Time to go big or go home.

IIRC, based upon a map that had candidate locations, I was liking the Leadville area as it wasn't too far and approximately the same distance for the denver and cos peeps.

I also suggest the following:
- someplace where we would be the only ones there
- ample space for camping
- near a safe shooting area (where I'd like at least 200 yds to work with)
- accessible by car (or if everyone participating had the ability, light 4x4 access)
- sat / sun (optional friday night start for the hardcore types)
- family friendly weekend

Well I know this isn't something that I'll likely make it to just because the way the schedule tends to run on my kid weekends. But Harris Park might be pretty close to what we're looking for. A bit further away for the COS folks.

Well another year is slipping by and we still haven't been able to pin down a two day shoot. [Rant2] I suppose it wasn't meant to be. I'm about to start my hunting season and I'll be out there camping and hunting a lot this year. I just hope we have a better plan next year for the shoot. Maybe in the spring will be more appealing to most people? [WooHoo]

If we don't hurry up and have one of these 2 day shoots, we'll end up having a couple Ensure's at a park somewhere not too far far from the porta-pottys and ems services.... some place with wheel chair access and not too far from the resthomes!

My wheelchair will be four wheel drive and equiped with night vision and a GPS so when they push me over the edge I'll be able to find my way back to the nursing home.

This is the first I've heard of this idea, but I like it! I think one or two people should just lay down the time and place and get the information out early, so people can plan for it.
