This might be old news, and I'm aware of kits that will give you a side changing handle, but does anyone have any experience or feedback regarding the brand LAR Manufacturing? This is what I'm talking about: http://www.largrizzly.com/web/guest/ops-4-uppers
They claim to have tight tolerances and allow for "match grade accuracy" but I'd really like to know if anyone can validate that claim. Flame me if you want, but the charging handle is my least favorite part of the AR platform and this looks like a decent alternative.
Comments, feedback, past experiences, please share!

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
I don't think I would want a reciprocating handle sticking out like that. As a lefty I would really not enjoy it.
I had a slick sided DPMS once, did not like the brass coming back without the deflector, thinking this would do the dame plus add the possibility of catching the bolt handle on things when moving around.

I like the concept, but have never used/seen/handled one.

Would the handle act as a brass deflector (assuming it's on the correct side to act as such)?

Not sure, but I would want the handle on the left side so I can charge the handle with my left hand and keep my right hand on the trigger. I've always found the traditional charging handle to be a bit uncomfortable (and kind of an awkward motion) and a PITA when you have a scope mounted.

Might be awkward locking the bolt back with a left side charger. Unless the bolt catch is different.
Have you tried the BCM Gunfighter Mod X charging handle? Takes some of the weirdness out of charging.

True.. I hate having to take my right hand off the grip to operate or clear a malfunction. But I guess this wouldn't change anything.
With a Magpul BAD lever, can you hold the bolt back as well as release it?
I currently have a BCM mod 4 and it helps, but i guess i'm just whining now.

My opinion that would be a jam o matic if used in a battlefeid situation. Huge slots for tons of dirt and crap to make its way in to the action. Maybe good for a bench rifle but I dont see any improvement over the standard charging handle. Just my opinion.

You may be correct. But after your first shot on a standard M4, there's a big opening for crap to get in there as well. Just not as big and not on both sides if it's an ambi. And you can close the dust cover.
Still a cool idea though, IMO.
