Aug. 24-26. Anyone else going? Looks like they will have a F-22 Raptor aerial demo. for the first time.
Should be a good show as usual...

I'll probably be there on Sunday as well.
Be nice to the C-130 dudes.
I practically live right behind the airport. I usually sit out in the drive with some drinks and watch the planes fly over. My favorite is those loud ass fighter jets shaking the house. Might go there this time though to check out the actual show and take my 1 yo little girl.
I'm trying to decide between Saturday and Sunday.

didn't this thing used to be free?
Oh I really want to go! I went to the Air Show at the airfield at Fort Drum during Mountainfest years ago and it was killer! They had a demo from the 6/6 Cav (all OH-58D's and AH-64D's), a fast-rope demo, and five F-15s in close formation that were the highlight. This one should be pretty awesome! [Beer]
im waiting for the not as good COS one

I'll be there tomorrow around 1200 with a couple other guys. Shoot me a PM, and grab a beer.

Sucks living in Arista and trying to sleep right now.
See little 1600 pound stunt planes do flat spins and pirouettes and stuff all the time...I've never seen a 32 ton jet fighter do things like that before...

Was it as good as the f-16 viper team a few years back? Cause they kicked ass!
I missed the F22 Raptor today because I had to go to the Zoo with the Fam. Online the schedule says Sunday has all the same shows as Sat. Anyone know if this is true?

It better be, I spent $200 on tickets for tomorrow.
I watched F-22 practice on Friday and fireworks on Friday night.
For free at my house.

I watch from my house every year, although I think the fireworks were a little lower this year because I couldn't hardly see them behind my neighbors tree. That or the damn tree got way bigger.

Not even comparable. The Raptor did things I was pretty certain no aircraft that size and weight could do. It did 360 turns in less than 100 yards. It did flat spins. It did a backflip. There are a few times it turned around, and I'm not even sure how it did it. That thing lives in 4 dimensional space.
At one point it flew south in a slight climb, came to a stop, rotated 180 degrees and flew back at us.
IT CAME TO A FUCKING STOP MIDAIR, ROTATED AROUND AND FLEW BACK TO US.

I live almost a mile south of JeffCo airport, so I'll be sitting in my back yard, drinking beer, watching the sky dancers fly o'er head.
Y'all feel free to drop by. Bring beer.
