Could not resist this goofy little shotgun. It's a Kimel Kamper.....410.

Not modified and it fold on it self completely in half.

Can't be worth a whole lot but it's mint and it going into the collection.

New one on me! Kinda cute, bet it's a handful. Something new or old?

What's the trigger in front of the trigger? To break it open?

That would be my guess.

So is that considered a pistol then.

Only if it has a rifled barrel. [Awesom]

New to me....but I have to figure its a fairly old gun. Haven't fired it yet but I bet it would make a great snake or grouse gun.

The exposed "trigger" opens the gun. Cool thing....is the gun folds competely in half/ There is a cut-out in the forend which the the trigger fits into allowing it to fold so fa that the pistol grip touches the forend.

Now this sounds very promising indeed. I might need to re think the 20ga and research these. [Beer]

Me too. My most cherished firearm is an old Stevens single-shot that my dad had before I was born. It was the first firearm I ever shot and I used it for hunting just about everything when I was a kid. To this day, the .410 is still my "go to" shotgun for hunting rabbit and squirrel, and for dispatching venomous snakes.

Regrettably, I sold my Grandmas' old Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works .410 single many years ago. One of the many guns I regret selling. But I still have her old .410 bolt-action, I'd have to dig it out but I think it's a Stevens.

Probably haven't shot mine in quite a few years. I might have to bring it along next time I go out. [Awesom]

I have a side by side Stoeger .410 Coachgun. Short barrels, double triggers...and best of all it choked Improved and Modified. It is a small game killing machine!

Actually, it's still considered a long gun. The barrel is 20 inches long and the overall length is over 26 inches.

Never understood why .410 shells cost more than all the others! Supply and demand I guess.

With the MASSIVE difference in price....I have to assume there is a bit of gouging going on. Since it tends to be a gun often used by young shooters....maybe they figure we will spend the money to get kids started.....and we do.

*I know many people will debate that its "an expert's shotgun". But I started my kids on .410 even before .22.....so as to increase the shot/kill ratio on small game-so their first few squirrel hunts would be a positive experience.

I have a great little Turkish O/U .410, and an NEF single shot. They're lots of fun, just wish they were cheaper to shoot.
