I am selling a Stainless Mini-14 and I've received several trade offers. I dont have a blue book so I dont really know if its a decent trade or not. He has a Hungarian FEG AMD-65 (basically a short AK with a wierd front grip), 300 rds of cheap Wolf ammo, and 4 twenty rd mags. Any idea of the cash value? I've also been offered a Marlin Model 9 camp carbine. Thank you.

I am selling a Stainless Mini-14 with 240 rds of 223, and I've received several trade offers. I dont have a blue book so I dont really know if its a decent trade or not. I've also been offered a Hungarian made FEG AMD-65 (basically a short AK with a weird front grip), 300 rds of cheap Wolf ammo, and 4 twenty rd mags. Is either one of these worth trading for? I know I need to buy the current blue book...Thank you.

I'm not an expert.
IMO :
AMD 65 + goodies = $500 - $600
Marlin 9 = $450 - $550

The Marlin needs to be near mint to command $550. I agree with DrFwd. Your Ruger is the better gun than either trade offer.

they are also for sale at centerfire systems for 440 with free shipping so figure a 25 dollar transfer and 475 is right there for a new or basically new amd

you didnt notice they moved your other thread? im guessing this isnt the place for it, if the mods moved it.

I'd put an average Camp-9 between $400-475.

I went and looked around a bit; not sure there's really a good place for a post like this. Curious what the mods think is the right venue.

Someone moved the AMD-65 question to the 7.63X39 forum, which seems very logical to me. My apologies as I failed to find the Marlin Model 9 forum. If you could direct me to it I will be happy to delete this question.

Hi Al.
I appreciate you keeping track of my sale options for me. I thought this forum was a place to ask and answer questions related to firearms, including, but not limited to the black rifle. This is the very reason I dont join many forums.

Just an idea.... when I'm not sure of a value on a gun, I just look it up on Gunbroker.com. Throw away the highest and you'll have a pretty good idea.

BS, dump the ruger for the AMD and have them give you some cash, or ammo to balance the trade. The wolf ammo incl averages out to $82. AMD is $439

Do not part with the .223 ammo hold on to it.
Any mini i see for $500-600 is collecting dust. Once you hit the $600 range a few dollars more you are in to AR territory.
The Camp 9 unless you have a plethora of S&W mags is say $400 range. Now if the Camp 9 is pristine with acc then price can climb. Bottom line it is still a 9mm carbine.
FWIW: Using your computer to search the guns involved will help you with a base line price wise.

Good deal. add up cost of good condition parts kit, receiver, 922 comp parts and you're in the buy assembled, ballpark.

hungarian barreled parts kits are around 400 now so i compare it to those since they have a factory feg barrel

It's cheaper if you order two. How would the FFL transfer work if a couple of people went in on an order?? Single order from JGSales, separate FFL transfers? Would that be a legal / viable option to save a few bucks?

Aren't the TGI builds chopped down SA-2000M's? Those have 16" barrels, correct? I would think that the chopped barrels would be less desireable than the original AMD barrels.

Doesn't matter to much. Either way he should dump that Mini. OR wait 3 months and pretend it's gold plated, cause it may well bring that much.

Nothing wrong or illegal. Vendor only allows 1 name, that of the payee on the bill. The FFL signs item in to bound book. Untill they are sold / transferred etc, thay are ffl's property. Once you the transferee comes in you only want X amount those go on your 4473, other guns go to who ever. If there is a concern let the ffl know ahead of time what you are doing.
Who were you going to transfer them through? pm me as i have an interest in 1(ish) and cash in hand
