Im changing the shocks on my truck and have got 3 out of 4 done. For some reason the lower bolt on the front pass side is stuck. I've used my neighbors impact, breaker bar with cheater, penetrating oil, my body weight and the torch. The MFer won't budge. Oh I even tried my torque wrench and that broke[Bang]. Does anyone have a good impact I can borrow??

I've got an air impact tool, and an old school impact tool you smack with a hammer. The air tool is low-end, but it's worked for me. You're welcome to either/both.

One observation, is your compressor up to the task? How long is the hose? I know it seems silly but a shorter air hose will make the impact gun work better. You might try using the shortest hose you can on what you already have, it doesn't cost anything and might save you a trip or two.

it's a 33gal compressor and it's done everything I've needed it to do. I'm using a 50ft hose and have a 25ft one I'll try later. I was hitting the bolt with 140lbs with no luck. I'm sure it's the impact.

If meat mans wont work mine will take lug nuts at 400+ ftlbs off trucks no problem.

PB penetrating catalyst is the ultimate. Makes "Liquid Wrench" look like a wussy. It let me take off the rim bolts of a 1953 tractor.

Gallons mean nothing when it comes to air. What CFM at what PSI is the important issue. I have a Snapon Air hammer that at my last shop was only ok, even with a 60 gallon compressor. The CFM was crap.

Poppycock!

Kroil makes PB Blaster whimper and hide in the corner.

Eric, your positive those are right handed threads correct?

if the torch won't allow them to break loose you have an issue. Do you have a cut off tool? Split the nut.

I assume you have the MG725? That is a nice impact. And I have seen it take of lug nuts off of a truck at 400ftlbs plus.

Positive they're right hand threads cause the driver side was as was all the other ones. Not sure I could cut it off cause the bolt sits under the coil bucket and has a captured nut. Just picked up two impacts and a can of penetrating oil that will hopefully kick this bolts a$$!!
