I have a proposal: All federal legislation should require 2/3 of the vote instead of a simple majority from now on. This would filter out a lot of partisan crap and would make it much more difficult to pass legislation that is not good for America.

What do you guys think?

Sign me up! I like this idea. The problem with America is that we have too many laws as is. I swear it would take you 23.6 years to read through every single piece of legislation on the books right now!

I like the thinking but Congress is so screwed up what you are proposing would just make congress completely non-functional more than it is now. Maybe that's not a bad idea.

Haha, I was about to say "and the downside to that is?" All they do for work is keep digging us deeper and deeper.
