SIMI VALLEY, California (Reuters) - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney said on Wednesday that if he were elected president, he would not keep Ben Bernanke as chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Okay, so it looks like Romney's economic adviser went rogue and was acting alone... Romney is now saying publicly that he would get rid of bernanke.

I've heard Romney recently say - a week or 2 ago - that absolutely somebody different should be leading the fed. Pretty clearly rogue. and not the first time. I'm trying to remember the stupid thing one of his advisors said a few months ago on an airplane? Perhaps Romney needs to "upgrade" his staff?
