King Soopers has a $5 rebate when you buy ten items. One of the qualifying items is American Beauty pasta in the 1# package. Sale price on the pasta is $1 so after the rebate when you buy ten, each pound package cost 50 cents. You'll never see that price again.

You do need their club card to get the sale price. Although I have told them I forgot mine and they scanned one they had. If not, they don't check your ID to see if you gave accurate info on the application for the card.

Plan B is take a copy of the ad to Wal-Mart. They'll match the price. They carry the brand that's on sale at King Soopers. As with any price match at Wal-Mart, go to the lane with the high school kid rather than the old person who had to go back to work from retirement. They'll more likely be comfortable with the adjustment on the register and in general want to just get you through the line.
