Saw this last night. Makes one think about how the world today really works.

A few points in the movie:

Most of Mid-East oil goes to Asia, who offer little to no help in stabilizing the region.

Europe can not agree on enough to help anybody out.

It's seems what we do to stabilizes the world helps others out more then our self interest.

"This provocative documentary probes what would happen if the United States were to suddenly remove itself from the world stage, giving up its self-appointed role as a global policeman and withdrawing into its own borders."

Big money interests would just find another means of stabilization.. That might be a much better option.. Hum?
The EU would then be blaming the US for not doing our part!

I don't think the world would go to hell if the US stopped being its benefactor.

I find it amusing that there are those that often argue in support of 'aid' for our allies, yet are adamantly against welfare programs here at home for our own citizens.

Perhaps those against entitlement programs here in the States are correct and the rest of the world will 'get a job' if we end our handouts to them. Perhaps they would develop their own security if someone else stopped providing it for them.

Of course, they could then potentially become dangerous to us if they achieved both of those goals and then didn't see eye to eye with us on our ruling position in the world.

It kind of makes you think about the true purpose of welfare in the U.S. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head over to the circus for a free show and some bread.

I agree we should stop the "welfare for the world" programs. I read that there is only two countries in the world that we dont send money to. China is not one of them! Dont they own us by now!?
Please, let us stop the madness.
