I've seen other people do this but never thought it would happen to me.

So...

I wake up this morning planning to leave my house around 7:30 and head to the range for a little shooting. I planned on bringing a couple of handguns and one rifle. Everything was going quite well. I got around, gathered up all of the gear, loaded everything into the truck and off I went.

Things started out good. I shot the XD-45 a bit...

v2-cAeVO5E4

Then put some rounds through the LCR...

5xxC7pjGdEk

Then went over to the rifle range and unloaded all of the rifle gear from the truck. Well, that's when I realized...

I hadn't brought any of my magazines with me. [Rant1]

So, here I was with a rifle, plenty of ammunition, bags for shooting off the bench, a spotting scope, targets, etc. but not one magazine.

There was only one other shooter out there and he didn't have an AR so I was out of luck for trying to borrow a Magazine or two.

Loaded my stuff up and headed home.

At least I got to put some rounds through the handguns so it wasn't a wasted trip. [Beer]

That sucks balls man....Can't say I have never done it though. I usually forget the eye's and ears bag but I have forgotten a gun and brought the mags so it happens.

I thought you were going to say you left your rifle on the top of the truck, glad it wasn't that story.

I once flew 4 hours and then drove 3 hours to go deer hunting and forgot ammo. It was for a family hunting trip in northern Michigan where you can only hunt deer with rifled slugs. I had everything else... Even had some 00Buck in the gear bag, but no rifled slugs. [Bang]

Last week, I left my favorite pistola in the nightstand. Realized my gaff about 30 minutes out. First time I ever left her behind and boy was she pissed when I got home. I had to caress her and smooth things out between us.

Me three. Not unlike some HP loads that have no chance of fitting in the mag.

Never been one to do that except in the Army. I now have some Pmags but with the Hiduminium Fal mags and the std GI aluminum ones I never kept them loaded. some steel mags like the AK and PPS41 mags yes.

I have many bags that go to the range with me. Unfortunately, the one with all of the loaded magazines was the one I forgot.

I think maybe I need to put a couple of magazines in the pockets on the rifle case and leave them there.

You need to put a glass-enclosed magazine box on a post out there with an AR mag in it. You can label it, "Break Glass In AR Emergency".

Forgot my ammo once on a shooting trip. By the way, does the 1970 in ray1970 indicate the year you were born? I don't know why but I thought you were older. You look like a youngen.

There was a fatal flaw in your plan. What if I forget to bring something along to break the glass? [Coffee]

Nope. I checked the rules. I'm good to go as long as I don't tell you to go f**k yourself. And I would never say that to anyone. [Beer]

The one I remember most was finding out I forgot the breech block for my Big Rifle at a Cheyenne Wells 50 cal shoot. I had other guns to shoot and I mainly helped at the shoot anyway so it didn't ruin it. I was kinda bummed about it though. I've forgotten that thing twice.[Bang]

I know I've forgotten things other times but that's the only time that jumps to my mind. That's why I always bring more than one gun when I go shooting. It makes it less likely that I won't be able to do any shooting.

Have fun

Yep. I never head out without multiple firearms. You just never know what could happen. [Awesom]
