View Full Version : How to adjust ak47 sights for windage?
I took my ak to the range today, and while locked up in the gun vice it was shooting about 4" to the left of my aim at 100 yards. Is there any way to adjust this?

There is a special tool for the front sight. I believe the sks and ak share the same tool.
Yep,same tool as the sks-same front sight setup.
You can find them at most places that sell firearms and accessories, heck I think even Wally World would have them here.
Or you can allways use a brass punch and drift it to where it's gotta go..

I would reccomend the tapco one over the generic ones. Generic ones tend to bend if you have a stubborn front sight. Tapco one is a little more heavy duty in my dealings and is only a few more bucks.

in my experience the chinese one's are also decent (like the ones that came from norinco and polytech)
Adjust for windage.....Assuming that the wind is blowing and you want to compensate??? The type of windage that the AK uses happens to have been invented in "Kentucky" [Tooth]

Or you can get an rpk rear sight leaf that is adjustable for compensating Windage on the fly
