So I was wondering, talking with a buddy about it, what firearms and firearms accessory companies have their headquarters in this state? I'm talking about big name companies like Magpul, Burris, etc.

You might be thinking of Colorado Optics inside RMSS in ft fun. They use to be in LaSalle. Just Burris new & Blem (seconds) outlet, that after moving raised their prices a little to much for me.

I mainly just liked the frame/gun itself on top of the .50cal nature.

@ moved out of state comment. Jeese, wish they'd update site. Thought thats where I read where they were located was off their website in the first place 3 months ago.

Ohhhhhhhh - they are. Mark & AJ have built an awesome action. Mark also makes barrels. They shoot, flat out shoot incredible little groups. My first .308 rifle from Mark shot 3 different bullets (178 AMAX, 175 SMK & 190 SMK) into groups that measured .151", .20" & .28" respectively.

He also builds semi-autos that shoot incredibly well. About a month ago with my handloads I shot a .484" group at 200 yds with my semi-auto .308 that he barreled for me.

There are no rumors. He is/was unable to deliver a product on time . Still can't. Doubt he ever will.

They carry his rifles at Bristlocone. Salesman was all to eager to put one in my hands. He was deflated when I told him to be careful pushing those, he was liable to get an earful from someone that was burned in said GB.

Lippard Arms is based out of the Springs. Have to have a pretty hefty pocketbook to afford his guns though... Along the same price tag as other customs like Les Baer and Nighthawk. Met the man a few years back and would sure love to buy up one of his 1911's whenever I can afford to drop $3K on a pistol.

Magpul is here in what capacity? http://magpul.commercev3.com/downloads/Magpul%20Facilities%20Update%20Press.pdf

All of Magpul’s existing Colorado facilities will close during the first quarter of 2015. Magpul will open a single administrative location in Colorado to support the relocation and this site will then serve as a regional support office.

Because his post was a sales pitch. My issue is how someone can be an "industry partner" when they haven't contributed to the board yet and can't even get to the trading post?

Agree with you on the first part. He should have identified himself as being with PW, before pitching that line.

I "Believe" being an IP gets them access to the TP, since they cannot sell something w/out it.. However there are PW members who have been here longer than Zach and could contribute that info, and participate in the forums other than IP, as others do. Not making it a sales pitch.

"Sales pitch" is a big stretch. He replied to a thread asking about local business. He is not an industry partner. The company he works for is an industry partner who has followed the guidelines of being an industry partner.

Next time you have a concern about whether other members are following the rules, use the channels provided for such concerns rather than some BS post in a thread.

57668

Its says right there plain as day that he is an IP.

And who cares if I call his post a sales pitch or not? There seems to be agreeance with me from other members. I never mentioned any violation of the rules as I have never been an IP and do not know the regulations for it. I do know that his post was not introductory in nature (as common sense would dictate a 1st post would be), and was highlighting/selling his own work in a place other than the IP area. It's fair game for criticism as this is a forum for discussion.

either way, I dont really care. Continue on...

Thanks Brian. Sorry I'm new to the whole board thing but I would have "pitched" Phoenix Weaponry when they first opened because I know the quality of the stuff they put out having been around and knowing the owners for the last several years. I can't promise you a drink but if you come down to the shop I will demonstrate the suppressors for you :)
