View Full Version : Can I change my name.
I got to thinking that using my last name might provide a little too much public info. Can I change it to something else?
Thanks Mods, keep up the good work.
PM me with what you want with the correct spelling and I will change it for you.
You get one change
Also find your feedback thread and attach the link in the PM and I will update that thread title for you.
No problem, and your welcome.

I know, I’m reviving an old thread, but I would also like to change my username. Not sure who to PM.

I think for maximum security, we should all be required to change our screen names and passwords every 3 months.

That sure would be secure... after a year, I wouldn't even know what I had posted.... and probably couldn't get into my own account.

Only a few will know my original name [flamingo]. I was young, dumb and full of when I first joined.

Mr. Pink?
Hmm, a name change makes me wonder if someone is honoring their mother, or trying to keep prying eyes from finding the records of assault. :)

For the record, this is a 1 time deal for folks - one name change per account. Now, with a significant financial contribution to the site this 1 per customer rule can be waived.

Awesome guys, appreciate it! Apparently my old handle is/was fairly popular on other forums I frequent and I’d rather just have one.

I pissed off a guy on another forum when I created IWASBRUTALFIRST because Brutal was taken.
WTF?
Still can't forgive Bert for calling me Brutus with a lisp.
P.S. He's pretty damn good with that wrist flip. Practice?

Don't worry, at least one of the mods keeps an Excel spread sheet of everyone. They'll help you out if you forget your stuff. I recommend at each user name/password change, just make your next user name your last password. Keeps it nice and easy.

Down here, when an admin (or just their version of a GMKIA) says you're "going on the spreadsheet" it apparently means something different (and it's one of those paper "spreadsheets" that accountants used back when the worked in Scrooge's day.
I really like them, but there are reasons I can't give up CO-ar15 [Beer]
ETA, I've considered a name change- every other gun board I'm on, my screen name is Lunyfringe. I went with 68Charger because this board was local, and I thought some may be put off by something that implies "lunacy", but it's a reflection of how the left views people like me.
And I DO own a '68 Charger, since 1987
