If I survive my court ordeal next week, and get my refinance, I will be there with about 2K of 9mm and 100 38's. After that, dinner at the smokehouse maybe... [Poke][Poke]and then a few brews, then home for [Bed]cuz I'm sure I'll be pooped by then. [ROFL1] Karl.
My wife and I got soooo sick after our last trip to the Smokehouse. I'll never go there again...

14th is the day I come back from Commiefornia, so count me out for this one.
long time no see, but i actually think i can make this one. Well that is if this schedule keeps up
New member, lurking for a while, considering attending this weekend's shoot.
I have read the FAQ and the rules. Anything else I should know?
How far is it from the vehicles to the firing line? (Do I need to bring my "tactical wheelborrow"?)
TIA

distance to the firing line depends on how many people get there before you.
For the early birds it's about 15 or 20 feet.
Otherwise it might be 60 or 80 feet.

Did you plan to drive straight there, or to meet in CR? If I can attend, I'd be interested in caravaning...

I take the short route not I-25 if you live in Littleton we could car pool you could follow me down or what ever you want. It is almost twice the distance to take I-25 as the way I go.

Same day as the "Ladies Run"
Sorry I'll miss you guys again. I wish you would have the shoots when I don't have major events happening. All of Colorado Multigun will be in Pueblo starting tomorrow for the Point Blank, IBPO and CPPA annual Law Enforcement 3 gun match. Come out and watch if you aren't going to the shoot.

I got one pack of cheesy brat's (6) and one pack of buns (8), also got condiments, soda, and I can stop and get one of many full propane tanks at my house on the way there if you don't already have one. I got a little 9mm, maybe 300 rounds left. If you wanted to shoot the UZI this may be your last chance, it's sold and may be transferred before the next shoot. [Cry] If you want to (dare to) try hand cannon Jr. bring some 38/357 ammo for it and you're also welcome to try that too. See you guys there. Karl.
Won't be able to make this one, either. On a positive note, the wife stood up 3 times today with the physical therapist here. Looks like I may get my kitchen pass before the end of the year. I miss you guys.
good news gman,.. hope things keep getting better.

Marlin brought a "Saws-all" and tried to get a count, but I fought them off.... I just threw a few cheesy brat's and ran... [ROFL1] anyway, I already told you, I'm 36. [Neene1] It got fairly warm, but not unbearable. Karl.
Sorry I missed it. I was driving back from California that day.

We should have a rule from now on, at least one of the Wills needs to make the shoots, AR Wills , mr. wills , Wills Wagon etc. etc.
I'm supposed to pic up more shirts, maybe tomorrow.
I really wanted to try out your new rifle, maybe next time. I see someone with a mechtech conversion carbine, I want to try one of those too.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make the next South shoot
I'll bring the M11/9 SMG with a slowfire upper (it's schweet) and my new 'CMP' Inland M1 Carbine.

Looks like a good time, I'm going to have to get to know you folks! The places you shoot.....are they club-only and only when you have a planned event? Or can they be used anytime? I'm looking for a safe place to take my grandson to teach him how to shoot and handle guns.

The places we shoot are national forest, and therfore always open to the public. You just have to obey their rules about shooting. Hope to see you soon. Karl.

So, what's a good way to find out about these National Forest shooting areas? Like where they are, how many are there, rules, directions, etc.?

Looks like everyone had fun as usual! Been crazy busy this summer. We sold over a quarter of a million case of soda in 3 weeks. A record of 280,000 cases. The heat is not hurting the drink sales at all! I'll be around more later when the cold fronts get here and stay. :)
It's also digging into my online sweepstakes entering too.
Is this at the "Rampart Range" public shooting range? That's the only one I can find any info on in that area.

No that one would be above Garden of the Gods.
One of the places we have South-shoots at is past Woodland Park, take 67 out of Woodland, go one mile past the Rainbow Falls Res. sign, take a left and go a few hundred yards up, shooting on the right.

Glad to hear that, I've heard bad stuff about the Rampart Range location. Now I just have to pinpoint where this place is on a map, so I can find it.
Can anyone give me directions from Parker? Or Castle Rock? Larkspur? I-25?
OK, now I really feel stupid. I've got my DeLorme Colo. Atlas and Gazetteer out, looking on page 50, at hwy 67 between Woodland Park and Deckers, and I don't see anything marked Rainbow Falls Reservoir, or anything Rainbow Falls either. Looks like there's an unnamed road to the left about 1 mile past Manitou Park Lake, off 67, about 7-8 miles n. of Woodland Park. Same place?
Also looks like there's only two ways to get there, 67 from Sedalia down through Deckers, or 24 from Colorado Springs up to Woodland Park, then 67 north from there. Doesn't look like there's any easy way to get there from Parker. ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!
What about the Family Shooting Center at Cherry Creek State Park, is it OK? I was assuming every gangbanger and knucklehead from Aurora goes there to work on their drive-by skills.
Most of the gangbangers and knuckleheads are at The Firing Line in Aurora.[Sofa]

The south shoot is between mile marker 88 and 89 there is a stop sign on the west side of the road. You can't miss it, It's a forest service road just be carefull as you enter to your right there is a big hole.

Cherry Creek is ok, the range master keeps everyone in line. Have you gone to Harris Park, north of 285 I have a map if needed. It can get crowded on the weekend and I always pack out more then I pack-in.

No, I haven't been ANYWHERE, other than The Firing Line and the private range where I did my CCW demo shooting. I'd really like to find a place where me and my grandson can do some plinking (and haul out our trash). We could go to Cherry Creek, that would be a good indoctrination for him, but water-filled soda cans and milk jugs are my favorite shizz to shoot at. If you can give me a map of this place, that would be great! The one on 67 sounds good too.
