View Full Version : The most honest three and half minutes...
Someone just shared this with me- because of a misconstrued comment I made about being the best (I say we should all try to be better than we were yesterday- not pump our chests and say we're better than you)... This is sad, but true:

Sorry, it's a long road back from my Rant a few days ago... Doing my best to contribute here... [Coffee]
i don't think people understand how to rate who is "the best". you can't be number 1 in every category, nor do you necesarily want to be. you could be number one in a category but at what cost? what if you have far less personal liberties? what if you have much more rigid class structures that can't be surpassed? what if it causes your taxes to be ridiculously high? in my opinion the more freedom you have the more people you will have making bad decisions and bumping you down in rankings. don't get me wrong, we need to improve in all sorts of things, but thinking that if you are number 1 in such and such category (which how do they even rank them anyway?) means you are the best is a bit foolish. in my opinion we are the best because we have many unique attributes that other nations don't and these attributes are often what draw foreigners here. more than anything, in this country you are not bound by what the nation ranks. you can achieve and accomplish whatever you want with whatever background. we may average a mediocre number but unlike many nations individuals are not locked into those mediocre states.
Why do you hate America so much. You must be a terrorist.
