View Full Version : Fire Extinquishers
Anyone know where I can get some recharged?
city of aurora FD doesn't do 'em :(
I have the K class Ansul fire extinguishers (large Silver canisters) for grease at my work that I would donate to you. It is in Colorado Springs.
Years ago, in Littleton, There was a place. To be honest though I don't even know if it's still there.

Around here, the smaller local volunteer departments do those pressurized water types, but all the others you have to take to a service like ACME or Western, etc. Most little ones (under 10 pounds) are cheaper to just buy new from Wally World. Karl.

This is the company that takes care of all the fire extinguishers at my shop. They come once a year and recertify them and every 3 years they have to empty them and recharge them.

I got a bunch that were no longer "good" from the code stand point. But the guy said they would still be good for as long as I needed them. So he just gave them to me. Maybe you can find some for free it would probably be cheaper than having them recharged.
contact fire systems west. they'll know.
