I was visiting last year when I was hoping to have been moving out to CO. It took a lot longer than I thought, but I'm finally on my way!
I'll be moving mid-July and starting the new job in August.
I'm really looking forward to shooting with you guys. It's been a while since I've been able to have my AR out to the range.
I'll be living in Boulder. I wouldn't mind recommendations for a range to join. Also curious where there are steel plate shoots and cowboy action shoots.
Thanks,
Mattiooo
welcome aboard [Wave]
Are you sure you want to move to Boulder ? (If you enjoy NJ, you may feel at home there) (Boulder = Berkley as far as politics goes) (also more expensive to live there)
There are IDPA, USPA shoots in the area. Check out our Shooting Events & Training (http://co-ar15.ar-15.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=84) section.

Welcome aboard!
Gun racks are on the left, beer is on the right, and the shoot is coming right up.
See if you can talk to MPFiveEngineer - he just bought a place in Louisville, just east of Boulder.
He knows about that area.

Welcome to the forum.
I have found that most, here on this forum, don't care for the Boulder rifle club, and will not shoot their matches. While they do have a 10 year waiting list to get in as a member, you do NOT have to be a member to shoot their all steel, or cowboy matches. (Or IPSC, or defensive pistol, or combat pistol, or high power rifle, or.........well you get the idea.)
Good luck on your move out west Pilgrim! [Awesom]
Welcome, mattiooo, from one ex New Jersey boy to another.
There are things about Boulder that could be better, sure, but its worst is light-years better than some of the crap you're leaving behind.
It was the best move I ever made in my life; I hope it's the same for you also.
Where you coming from?

Where you coming from?
Thanks for the welcome. I spent most of my life in North Brunswick, near Rutgers. The past year though, I lived in Parsippany.
It's good to know that I'm making the right decision, from the perspective of another Jersey guy.
Welcome!
Don't forget to buy some hollow-point ammo when you get here.[Awesom]

Hey, no kidding. East Brunswick HS graduate here; last 12 years before Boulder were in New Brunswick, in an apartment right next to Rutgers (Douglass/Cook colleges).

Oh, hell yeah. You're gonna love it here. The local news is about bullshit stuff, instead of about the daily murders, prostitution and heroin arrests, and crap like that.

Here's a few clubs, none are close. BRC is a very long wait, indeed.

Thanks everyone. I'm in Colorado now. We're apartment hunting at the library as we speak. Well...the wife is...and shooting me dirty looks.
I'll join up at a shoot as soon as we have a place to live.
Matt
