My wife, with whom English is a second language, has been correcting her grammar till she finally turned off the TV saying "I can't stand listening to her butcher the English language."

ok guys, the racist comments reflect poorly on us as a community. Is it not enough just to dislike her because she's a blatent socialist in full support of her husband's socialist agenda?
Resorting to the Yessir massa, rhetoric is just what the other side expects of us. You may mean it tongue in cheek, but will it be taken that way by someone who is so willing to expect you to make such remarks as a conservative?

Well said Goodburbon.
No more or the thread disappears folks.
We're better than this. Let the world know it too.

Oh lord no. It would make her stroke out. I speak English like it is a second language. More bestest.
I don't have the stomach to watch political TV, nor am I voting for Obama but analysts today seem to think she did a decent job. Additionally, I'm curious how many critics here have a JD from Harvard...

LOL. That's the funny part. We dont, and yet we can still see how poorly she uses the English language. She went to Harvard and butchers the spoken word so bad my wife with ESL can pick up on it.
Graduating Harvard can't be that hard if the Obama's can do it.

I found this interesting, though it doesn't really touch on the early years where she talks about her "poverty".

Here's the transcript, for those who wish to review it for grammar errors.

Would you take a Harvard degree over whatever you have now?
Would you take a Harvard degree over whatever you have now?
Overrated... I'd prefer Oxford personally, much better standard of education looking at their pool of graduates.
And no, I sure wouldn't... Even if I only have an associates at the moment, it still helped me better in my previous job than anything from Harvard would have done. (FTR: My Assoc. is in Intelligence Operations, a degree program Harvard doesn't offer)

being 100% honest, i wouldn't take a harvard degree over my illinois degree, but part of that is because it was in a technical field which harvard isn't as good in, they are better in things like literacy, law, history, etc. honestly i believe in some ways a degree from a place like harvard helps, but in some ways it hurts. you get a bit of a negative connotation with it, especially by people who graduated from great public schools. i have heard this is the case in some engineering circles, where many people graduate from purdue, michigan, illinois, etc. many see harvard and the likes as pretentious.
anyway, i didn't think michelle's speech was bad. honestly i don't believe shes that bad, yeah she butts her nose in everyone's business and stuff but look at her husband's beliefs, should it be any surprise? she also has been involved in a lot of good causes, like it or not. i don't feel the hatred for her like some do i guess. i do agree shes been given most on a silver platter, but most politicians and their associates have.

Who are you? [Coffee]
I seriously doubt what she said about when he was senator he had a rusted out car and too small shoes. They're like the rags to riches story, except in this story instead of hanging out at the country club with the rest of the rich folk, they want to burn the country club to the ground. I'm going to bet my bottom dollar that their daughters will be no better. Chalk up another loss, that's two more raised in a communist house.

So you prefer your community college associates over a degree from Harvard? [Luck] Interesting. For the record I went to a state school.

Can't argue with it being overrated, having graduated two state schools myself. If I had to pick, I'd choose Stanford.

Gotta look the the future, although a degree from Harvard or Oxford wouldn't help much with the police as much as another associates in Law Enforcement would.
