so...on another site I purchased a parts kit.

Send off funds. Funds arrive on Aug 25th. He emails me and states that the parts were sent out that morning insured.

The 28th I request tracking number.

The 29th he messages back and states he is out of town and will get the tracking number to me asap.

Sep 2nd I request an update.

I get a response tonight stating that he is back from out of the country and will get it shipped tomorrow.

Thoughts?

if the funds have already cleared you're at his mercy aren't you?

Complete BS but if he ships it out, what can you do? He should have been up front about the delayed shipping.

Yah well paypal don't do so good for firearm goods. Otherwise I would have gone that way. :P

Request a mod from the other site involved and show him the communications you had with him.
If funds were cleared theres not a whole lot to do except wait, and then post negative feedback claiming theft.

I'm pretty lenient on sh*t like this... I'd give it 2 weeks max for everything to pull through.. or at least have a tracking number inside of 2 weeks...or more, depending on whats been communicated back and forth...
That part about out of the country and already stating that he sent it earlier and tells you that now he will plan to send it.... I would've came unglued [Weight]

... I would go to town on the guy if it passes 2 weeks [Muaha]

Only happened to me once on Gunbroker... I got my money back[Coffee]

I agree with Mikey. I've sold a lot of stuff on both ebay and Gunbroker. He should have just told you about the delay instead of lying, but otherwise relax. No doubt you'll get what you paid for.
