View Full Version : Obama's acceptance speech moving to smaller venue...
because of weather....despite his campaign manager saying just yesterday that he would give the speech "rain or shine"
"If you’re counting, that’s a decrease in capacity of 73% from Bank of America Stadium. At least every seat will (should) be filled now."

Some people thinking he can't fill the seats
Well, he's been pissing on America for years - about time America pissed on him.

"because of weather". Yeah, sure.
Maybe because having a venue of 73% larger size would have left a LOT of empty seats since a lot of Democrats are sick of his sorry butt too and wouldn't attend.
good to see. Maybe they are already seeing numbers they don't like.

They didn't want the convention to look like the attendance at a bad high school track meet. The weather is nothing more than an excuse. The figured they'd get about 22k spectators total, so moved to a 20k arena, this gives the complicit media the opportunity to say "thousands were turned away."
News reports just said Hickenlooper was speaking, and he was pretty much ignored, the audience wasn't listening, etc. Kind of fits that Democrats are nothing more than spoiled children with horrible manners.

My wife told me she found a site where you can register for a free ticket at the convention stadium, and it wasn't a problem getting a ticket. The backstory is the dems were planning on busing large numbers of people from out of state to fill the seats, but were discovering a lot of de-commits when people found out is was just a free ticket to get in, and not free food or lodging. Dems will change their plans in a heartbeat if they think it will get them re-elected.

I would like to get a free ticket with free lodging and food! Maybe I can get a free airline ticket too![ROFL1]
Having to bus people in cause they can't fill the seats. Maybe some more homeless peeps getting free shirts and coffee.

We should have gotten ourselves a bunch of tickets, make seats not available and not show up.
It would have looked even emptier...
