I have a few new parts laying around. I replaced handguards and pistol grips. I have a Saiga stock and holsters that came with hanguns but are R -handed and useless to me. Is there a place online or shops locally that will buy this stuff from me? I know it's not worth much but I don't need them. I don't want to start an Ebay store or get a table at a gun show. But there has to be people out there building an AR and needs a set of hanguards or an original pistol grip for cheap. Any input would be appreciated.

You could sell them here if you have access to the trading post yet. I don't see a shop buying them off you for what they're worth, however small that amount might be.

Yeah check out the trading post. You should have access if you gave a certain mod a "flipper rub". Whatever that means. Just make sure you read and acknowledge the trading post rules before you post something or your post will be deleted.

AR parts usually go pretty quick if you price them right.

You said "Flipper Rub"[LOL]

But that's NOT a flipper!

Maybe trade bait but not much otherwise...

I did say flipper rub. My mom use to tell me not to use words if I didn't know what they meant. I guess I should listen to her.

What do you do with all the extra parts and pieces ?
First you start off throwing them in a box, when the box fills up, you get a bigger box. And when that box fills up, you get a trunk, and after awhile, you have enough stuff to fill trunks and shelving units that take up most of your basement, like the rest of us do............[Tooth]

You can make a nice coat rack from all those A2 grips you have laying around.

(Thanks for the idea, Rob [Beer])

Whatever happened to the "pay it forward" box and its associated thread?

Yup, I was just going to mention that...

Inside the TP Wanted forum is a sticky thread called "So, let's pay it forward (http://www.ar-15.co/forums/showthread.php?t=11233)" where you can offer the parts for free to those who might want/need them. Always a worthy & generous choice to consider.

You must apply hotdog and buns formula to all of your extra AR parts. Have an extra grip? buy a lower, an upper etc try to have a complete extra AR.

That's what I do with the AR stuff I'm not going to use. There's always another member that needs something.

Only thing missing is the "thought process" = Given all this "w/ one more part/lower I could build "X" for cheap"! Several $ later, you end up with yet another rifle and some good ideas and parts to build the next one perfect...

Did anybody mention it's a disease?

I send my unused/unwanted AR parts to Diane Feinstein. Thats why she is pushing the new Assault weapons ban. In a sense, the new ban will be good (just kidding) since it will ban A2 grips, crappy optics and lasers, plum crazy lowers, gigantic/heavy rail systems and rail covers, and crappy magazines.

we should start a group extras "box" that once we acquire enough extras, will be built into a rifle and given away to a lucky member or even raffled off or something.[Beer]

A raffle.. Those who donate a component get a chance to win. That'd be fun!

If it was raffled off, one possibility would be to get some .22's, and keep Pickenup's Christmastime drawing for deserving young new shooters going...

Great idea. Sell enough tickets to buy a couple 10/22s and accessories!
