View Full Version : Might be done ordering stuff from Palmetto State Armory
I've ordered several barrels from Palmetto Sate Armory and, although their order processing and shipping is incredibly slow by most people's standards, everything has been as expected so far.
Anyhow, I am putting together a lower budget rifle and since they had their lower build kits on sale for $79 I ordered one. This kit includes everything to finish out a stripped lower (buffer tube, stock, lower parts, etc.) and seemed like the way to go. So, after two weeks, the kit arrived.
I open in up and the first thing I notice is there are two standard A2 grips and two trigger guards in the kit. Odd, but whatever. So I start putting things together and then I notice there are a couple of things missing. There is no hammer, no disconnector, no trigger, no hammer or trigger pins, and no hammer, trigger, or disconnector springs.[Rant1]
Then I also found out that the safety selector wasn't drilled properly and the selector won't stay in the "safe" position.
Needless to say they will be getting a call first thing in the morning.
That would explain why they were so cheap...
Sucks when you think you did ok and get hosed like that.
Don't post shit like this when I just placed an order for my lower Sunday and was wondering what the delay was.
Hmmm guess I should mark them off the list for my first build. What other good deals did you see out there?

Yeah, but I can remember a small company years ago with really cheap AR stuff. What was the name of that other company? Oh, yeah.... Bravo Company. [Beer]

The delay is they are notoriously slow with getting your order to you. It will arrive eventually if that makes you feel better. Also, other than this parts kit missing quite a few critical parts, everything else I have ordered from them has been correct.

Ah so true!! But that was before the big rush to pump stuff out before an election.
There were a few other good companies that sold stuff cheap but quality stuff-Sherlunk? I think was one of them I got parts from in the past and they were real decent, wonder if their still around?

Well, I actually have an upper on order from Palmetto State as well. They were/are having a big sale on them. I ordered a 16" middy with a 1:7 twist and chrome lining. It's mag particle inspected and high pressure tested. $279.

Ha. Looks like they are still around.

I have had nothing but problems and horrible customer service from them.
Now days I just deal with Brownells, SKD, Bravo Company or directly with the manufacturers.
That might be the direction I am headed, Hoser.
Bravo Company has impressed me with their fast shipping and quality products.
I don't use Brownell's too often but I do use Midway quite a bit.
I really prefer to deal with local vendors when I can.

This is not good news... Last week I ordered quite a few things from PSA, including two LPKs... I'll check back in when I get them. [Shake]
For my latest build, I ordered parts from PSA, DSGArms, Midway, and Brownells. A real frankengun!

I had an issue a while back, where they shipped me the wrong stock. I didn't hear back from them promptly, so I posted a gripe on another forum (who shall remain nameless, with no similarity to their logo implied). There is an "Official Where is my Order" thread under their name in the manufacture section. They contacted me quickly and made it right. They seem very responsive to posts there.
I have built several rifles with LPKs/LBKs from PSA, and never had an issue. Hope this was a fluke and not an indication of the direction their products are headed.
I will say that the last LBK I ordered must have had a part out of stock. Took them 5-6 weeks to ship it. It was the MOE LBK in FDE. The Black MOE kits my buddies ordered must have been in stock. I wasn't in a rush, and their prices are right, so I sat patiently. It came and all was in proper order.

Well, as I said above, I ordered parts from multiple companies all within an hour.
Midway and Brownells shipped the same day and are already here.
DSG is expected to arrive tomorrow.
Palmetto State Armory hasn't even shipped yet.
Update: The DSG Arms shipment arrived today. PSA still hasn't shipped.
i think with the overwelming amount of people getting into the ar15 hobby qc is going way down i agree 100% with hoser brownells has quality parts and the best customer service in the game
Unfortuntately I have never had the honor of ordering from Palmetto simply because anything I ever wanted from them they were out of stock or their price was no lower than others I have used to order from.
Midway and Brownells are really good about fast shipping but I have a small base of favorites I order from because they have live stock status, good price for the items and shipping costs and they ship super fast.
Rainier Arms, DSG arms, Joe Bob, rifle gear, surplus ammo, and my fav Primary Arms.
Primary arms is my favorite due to their customer service. Another buddy/member on here ordered a complete upper from Palmetto, took 17 business days within that time I ordered parts to build my 14.5 middy upper and had the parts in my hands within a week and if Bert was able to get me in I would have had mine done before my buddy got his upper in his hands.
Palmetto sells stuff everyone else sells. Their branded items I have heard are good stuff, but I have never had the opportunity to really use their stuff; however, in this day and age of internet business's another vendor is only a click away and Palmetto needs to up their shipping service or soon will be outrun from the other guys who might be smaller but do it right...........
RAY did you ever get them on the phone and square away the missing parts?
RAY did you ever get them on the phone and square away the missing parts?
Yeah. I called them right after you left. Spoke with some woman. She took down a list of everything I was missing. We'll see what happens from here.
That's one of their barrels on my little mid length that I had out the other day. Shoots quite well, I think. Hammer forged, chrome lined, and supposedly made by FN.
Guess I'll have to try to hunt down Daniel Defense or Bravo Company barrels for any future builds.
I just ordered a blem upper receiver from them this morning. Not too worried about shipping time, it is a project that only gets worked on as funds allow. Starting to get into the expensive parts now.

The processing/shipping time doesn't bother me. I have come to expect it so I am not surprised or disappointed when it happens.
But when my lower build kit comes in missing half of the parts that is a disappointment.

Oh I completely agree that is a huge disappointment. Hopefully they make it right in a reasonable amount of time. Keep us posted.
Thought I'd toss my 2cents in.
I just ordered a milspec buffertube and LPK, don't know if I got the oddball or not, but I got it in 10 days and my LPK was complete, it had all the parts it was supposed to. The only thing missing were 2 castle nuts, that I forgot to order.
FYI Palmetto has always treated me well, I will continue to do business with them especially when they're running their sales.

When did you order? I ordered 2 LPKs, a BCG, and a stripped upper completion kit on Sep 3rd and haven't gotten a shipping notification yet. (It's "only" been 7 days, so I'm not freaking out, just sharing info for others to form an opinion)
I also ordered a few lowers from them on Sep 2nd and the shipping tracker says they should be in town tomorrow.
I wonder why there is such disparity? Maybe the lowers and the rest of the stuff ships from two separate departments? If they are taking the extra time to check my LPKs to make sure everything is there, that's good, but if something was out of stock, I wish they would at least send me a notification and let me know it's going to be a while...
I placed an order 9/2, got shipment email 9/7, package will be here 9/13
I placed an order on Saturday, they shipped my receiver today.
Got my shipment today and it was complete... nothing missing

Good to know.
Tomorrow will be seven days since I reported the missing parts from my order from August 25th. Maybe they'll show up while I'm out of town for the week.
Got my stripped blem upper today. Came with the ejection cover installed. Bonus!

I got shipping notification today and it should be here by next Wednesday. I'll report back on the status of the two LPKs I ordered.
September 24th.
Still haven't seen the missing parts from my LPK.
While I know some of you have been happier than a pig in slop with their service, my experiences have been less that satisfactory.
They are being put on my permanent, lifetime ban list and will not be seeing another dime from me.

Did you try the thread on the "other site" I mentioned?
No. I might.
Or, I will probably just pick up an ALG combat trigger from Midway.
I'm pretty much done dealing with PSA at this point. I don't have time to be making phone calls and emails to straighten out things that shouldn't need straightening out in the first place.
I hope my latest order gets here in a decent amount of time as I have not had any problems with them before. I ordered a whole upper about a week ago and have not heard a peep from them. The web site says it is still "processing."

Okay, update time! I received my 2 LPKs, BCG, and upper parks kit from them with no issues, everything was there. If I have any problems when I start shooting it, I'll report back, but as of right now, everything looks exactly as it should!
I also picked up 5 beautiful stripped lowers from them 2 weeks ago. Again, no issues.
Tmsand338, Mrs HoneyBadger and I agreed that I could spend "some" of that money, but the rest has to go toward baby stuff. [Awesom] I've been building a replacement upper for the one you took off my hands, but then I got a great deal on the stripped lowers, and then I saw a good deal on some LPKs, and what good is a stripped lower without parts anyway right? It's a slippery slope, my friend, a slippery slope! I'm still under budget though, so Mrs HoneyBadger is happy :)

September 30th. Still haven't seen the parts that were missing from my parts kit.
Did you go get another LPK to finish the lower yet?
I would be placing another call to them and voicing a little more anger concerning it. Did the upper show up at least? I didn't see where you got it in.

Since all that was missing was the fire control parts, I went down to Bowers and picked up an ALG Combat Trigger.
The upper did show up last Monday. Took right at three weeks from order to arrival. Not bad. Appears to be OK and just as ordered.
All I lack now is a BCG and a charging handle. I'll either order those two items from BCM or maybe just run down to Bowers and pick them up.

You looking for anything fancy for a charging handle? I gots a spare basic, in fact several and I owe you one, its yours if you want it. Let me know. I could drop it off after work one day or drop it to you on a friday if you off.
Don't have a spare BCG though. [Coffee]

A stock charging handle will be just fine for this build.

I have had no direct contact with PSA, but one of my former employees worked for PSA for a few months right after he got out of the Marines, and he said that he would never buy anything from PSA based on seeing how they operate. (Once again this is just hear-say as I personally have not dealt with PSA, but I trust what my friend/former employee says.)
October 4th and still haven't seen the parts that were missing from my August 25th order.

Well I received my order yesterday and it was missing parts. I ordered a Magpul ACS-L lower parts build kit which should have included the stock, moe grip, moe trigger guard, LPK, buffer, buffer spring, buffer tube, nut, and end plate. I was missing the end plate, buffer, nut and some parts in the LPK! I called them and the guy apoligized and send they would send me all the parts out including a new LPK. He said it would take 3-5 days before I see them.
I saved some money (about $100) by ordering it from them. It took about 7 days to ship and another 5 days to get to my house and ontop of it it was missing parts. YMMV.
EDIT: I just called them to get a tracking number on my missing parts. The guy told me that the "credit" has to be sent to their supervisor, approved then they will send me out the parts once approved. He said a shipping label might be created today and if not it will be on Monday. I will probably be calling on Monday afternoon or Tuesday to see what the status is.

Customers shouldn't have to do this much work... When you buy from them, you are purchases physical goods, but you are also purchasing a service: reliable delivery on their end of the purchase agreement... I guess now we know what to expect in the future. I sure hope they outgrow this and make it right.

I called Magpul and told them what I did and they are still sending me a replacement. Will never order from them again. YMMV.

For what it's worth, I've had a lot of MOE grips that were very difficult to get on. Can't fault PSA for that one.

My first order last year was irritating until I just accepted that they are not the fastest processing shop on the planet.
First lower build was problem free.
Second one (just received last week - now I am going to go double check it to make sure all the parts are there) was a bit faster. Stripped blem lower, MIAD LPK, SSAE, A2 stock kit. First look appeared to be complete.

Just for a little clarification, I have been nothing but pleased with the products I have received from PSA. In fact, for the money, I think their barrels are hard to beat.

Please PM me with your online order number if you received an order with items missing. Please include a list of items you did not receive so that I know what needs to be sent out.
If you remember the CS representative you spoke with please include their name as well so that the CS manager can look into it. We assemble all of our LPKs and unfortunately there is human error involved. However, it's CS' job to make sure our customers receive any missing items in a timely manner. I do apologize for inconvenience this has caused a few of you.

Happy to report that my big order which included 3 buffer tube kits and 3 LPKs among other things, all arrived intact. I received an email the day after I ordered saying that a picatinny swivel stud mount I had ordered was backordered, but when I opened my big box there was a different (and higher quality) picatinny swivel stud mount included. No complaints there! Thanks PSA for following up on the missing parts the other members had and welcome to our forum!
New here I place an order with psa a week ago got a confirmation number no email and I have tried and tried calling with no answer just a messege and hang up so I looked on the bbb web sight and got the main number i called and the guy said he had no way of tracking it that if I got that number I will get my stuff , I looked on my card and it has been charged , I then faxed them as well as leaving many emails with no return , what is going on with this place ? I own a business locally and I would not be in business if I practice it this way any help would be nice
just be a little patient and you will get your shit. Just recieved my two uppers the other week. Well worth the wait for sure.
What was your wait time ?
on the barreled upper recievers they show a approx. 15 day lead time, and it was pretty much right on the money!
This is my 5th order well over the $300 mark, and would not hesitate to place another order. If you wait their prices are competative. My biggest complaint is that they don't seem to keep much of anything in stock for more than a few days.,

I placed a order with them a week ago and just checked my account online. Still in "processing" I am sure they are slammed but I do expect better/faster from online retailers. Will see how long it takes and I'll determine if I'll do business with them again in the future.
.
Guys - 2 things
1. We just went through an election - this same thing happens every time - out of stock, or huge influx of orders.
2. It's the holidays - a lot of gift buying either for their spouse or themselves - huge influx of orders.
PSA also has a notice on their home page
Due to increased order volume please allow additional time for your order to process and ship.
Do a search on any of the rifle forums about PSA and you will find 2 commonalities - their customer service is lacking and the time from order to delivery is generally more than 2 weeks. Not only do the do online, they are a brick and mortar shop as well (local walk in buys are getting priority), and I am guessing with a minimal staff. Pile that on top of they are putting out quality products at really good pricing you get a high demand.
It's also December which means shipping in general is taking longer.

If its only been one week I wouldn't sweat just yet. I don't think I have received anything from them in less than 15 days. If you ordered any type of upper receiver assembly they probably don't actually assemble it until after you order it. Aside from one order where I was shorted some small parts ( which will occasionally happen with any business) I have received all of my orders. If it makes you feel any better, you will probably be very happy with your stuff once it arrives.

I have purchased several LPK's and Lower build Kits from PSA over the past year.
One of the LPK's I purchased was from our local gun shop and it had a couple of parts missing. I contacted PSA and had the missing parts in just a couple of days.
The latest Lower Build Kit I ordered directly from PSA online. It sat for a couple of months waiting for me to get enough free time to put the parts in my lower receiver. When I layed out all the parts, the grip screw and washer were missing. I had an extra so I just used it.
I will be building a few more AR's for myself and plan on buying more of PSA's Lower Build Kits, but will also include a note as to my past experiences, or I may order by phone and speak directly with a person at PSA to let them know directly.
You would think that some sort of QC is/could be implemented to reduce these types of errors.

Don't like digging up old threads, but I just received an order last night (1/9/2013) that I placed on 12/20/2012. It was for a Lower Parts Kit with Geissele SSA Trigger. I was really hoping I wouldn't have any problems, but when I opened the box, I found only the standard LPK, there was no Geissele Trigger! Reading through this thread, I decided to tear apart the box and look in all of the stiff brown paper padding hoping it fell to the bottom or got mixed up somewhere in the box, but nope, there was nothing.
Very upset! I was effectively charged $199 for a lower parts kit that normally sells for $54. I can't even sell this LPK at panic prices and recover my money! [LOL]. And when you can't even do that, you know theres a problem!
Got a hold of someone on the phone at PSA, only a 10min wait! She verified that they have some of the stand alone triggers in-stock (that are reserved and do not show up on the website) and will be sending me one ASAP. Hopefully it isn't another 3 week wait to receive the trigger. I'll update this post if/when I receive the trigger.
That sucks. Wonder if she was one of the FNGs they just hired... Good luck!

Sounds like Botach, just a different flavor of BS.
I wouldn't lump them in with Botach.
PSA is a small company, and given how the panic buying has blown up, it's obvious that mistakes can happen. I've had them forget a small part in the past; it was in the mail to me the day that I called them. The fact is that they still offer very good products and excellent prices; no wonder they're always so busy and out of stock on many items. The current situation just makes it that much worse.
I ordered some mags on 1/2 and they shipped 1/17, will see if i get mags. My 4 orders with them have not had any missing parts.

I've got about a dozen orders with them under my belt now and they just recently screwed up one of my orders for the first time. It was a mag and plate order and they left out two packs of Ranger plates. I notified them of it and they more than hooked me up for their error.
Their shipping seems to be getting even worse if thats possible. You get shipping notices after the packages arrive at your house now.

My dealings with them in early 2012 or late 2011 were crappy at best.

I've placed 8 orders with them over the past 6 months which included 6 LPKs, some stripped lowers, 2 complete uppers, several stock kits, and a bunch of misc parts and have not had a single problem. In the event that one of the backordered items I ordered was not ever going to come in, they sent me a better version in its place. Maybe I've just been lucky. I like their prices and their quality is acceptable for most of my needs.
Yes, you always have to wait 2-3 weeks for their processing and shipping... Everybody knows that. If that is not acceptable for your situation, then shop elsewhere.

I've bought 6LBK's and 3 LPK's over the last 11 months, a few from my LGS but most ordered directly.
Only two of these came complete.
Most were missing 1 or two items: bolt & washer for grip, detenet, detent spring, roll pin for bolt catch, little things. But as we all know, those 'little things' keep an AR from operating.
Granted, PSA always sent replacement parts after I notified them, but that has taken up to 2 months to get, on top of just the hassle of getting in touch with them.
All of the stripped lower receivers I have bought have bee wonderful.

Just spoke to PSA for the third time now after receiving my $206 BASIC LPK (should have been an LPK-Geissele Trigger).
1/9 - Package Received
1/10 - Called PSA to inform them of missing geissele trigger. They said they were still in stock (employee put her hands on one) and would ship out that day.
1/14 - Called PSA to double check it was sent, they said they were out of stock and never shipped one, but that it would be shipping later that week (as they were expecting a new shipment that week.
1/24 - Called PSA, spoke with a guy who said they have them in-stock right now and counted the number that they had in-stock, then sorted through the orders that had them to find mine and said it will be shipping later today and I'll receive UPS shipping confirmation with tracking number. If not, I'm calling back on Monday. Still holding my breath until I receive that tracking number.
1/29 - Called PSA, spoke with the girl I spoke with on 1/10. She immediately told me they were out of stock and I was still waiting. I then asked why they had told me on two separate occasions why they were in-stock and would be shipping that day. The looked into it further and claims that they shipped it out on Friday 1/25 via USPS and therefore there is no tracking number. She said it will take 5 days to get to me. If I do not receive it by Saturday, 2/2 I will be calling Visa and having them reverse the charges.
2/2 - They told me the trigger would be delivered today, at the absolute latest, via USPS. Imagine how surprised I was when it didn't show up (not at all surprised). Will be calling on Monday demanding a full refund and if they refuse to give it to me, I'm calling my bank to report the fraudulent activity and their bait-and-switch tactics.
At this point, I am EXTREMELY disappointed in PSA's customer service. I understand the current state of the industry, but it has taken them 3 weeks to get me a straight answer on what the situation is. Then, they claim that they ship it out via a method that conveniently provides no tracking number for the customer. What pisses me off the most, is that this entire time, my order "Status" has showed "complete" on their website. Even AFTER I said that it was not complete and I was missing parts, they never changed it, which they should have. For all I know, they never shipped anything last Friday and are just waiting until I give up on my parts, and at the moment, I honestly believe they are unscrupulous enough to do that. Especially since they can now claim that they sent me the part through USPS and if I didn't receive it, its not their fault and I need to take it up with the USPS for replacement.

They were like this before all the madness so I cannot imagine now. I ordered two things from them before the panic and they still got it wrong. I ended up with a free LPK but it took damn near a month and half to get everything right. It was shipped USPS. I will NEVER order anything from them again. I sent them a nasty email about how they treat customers and did not get a peep back. Will gladly pay more from someone who provides tracking numbers, accurate orders, and has great customer service.

Thanks for the in-depth reply. I am at my wits end and as much as I'd love to cancel the order, I know they'd say something to the effect of "Okay, well ship us back the parts you've received and once we receive them, we'll process the refund. But it could take 10-15 days after we receive the parts to process." And if I did that, I'd be out all of my parts AND my money.
Frankly, I am VERY tempted to call my bank and see how I go about reversing the charges for fraudulent "bait and switch" charges, which is exactly what they did because they claimed the entire time my order was "complete". That is my only hope for getting my money back.
I posted on the ARFCOM "The Official - Where is my Order" Thread that PSA is actually responding with status updates, but I don't expect to hear anything concrete from them. Only time will tell.

I've ordered some stripped lowers, no problems, 3 LPK's W/O FC group, no problems, and just ordered a lower build kit, and we'll see. In all cases it took a long time to ship, but no worse than what they said it would up front. So we'll see I guess.

Ordered LPK-G, received standard LPK with USGI trigger, the Geissele trigger was missing. Paid $207 for a basic LPK.
12/20/2012 - Thursday - Order Placed
1/9/2013 - Wednesday - Package Received
1/10/2013 - Thursday - 8:15am MST - Spoke with Megan. - 10min hold time, 15min call time
She put note on my order saying Geissele trigger was missing, checked for stock on hand and found they are in-stock (even though website shows they are out of stock) and will ship one ASAP.
1/14/2013 - Monday - 9:08am MST - Spoke with Morgan. - 10min hold time, 17min call time
Checked, showed they were OUT of stock of the trigger, but receiving more in-stock this week. They will ship it as soon as it comes instock (will my shipment jump ahead of the <15 business day lead time? NO, it will ship THE DAY they come in stock )
1/24/2013 - Thursday - 9:15am MST - Spoke with Clay - 13.5min hold time, 21min call time
Checked into things with Megan AND Morgan, Clay said they received the Geissele triggers in-stock today (1/24) and would be shipping my trigger out today, Friday at the absolute latest. Said I would receive a tracking number once it was shipped and that would be my indication that it shipped.
1/29/2013 - Tuesday - 2:21pm MST - Spoke with Megan - 13min hold time, 25min call time
Checked and said they are still out of stock, when asked why i had been told twice they were in-stock and shipping those days, she ran off to check the status again. When she came back, she CLAIMS they shipped it out on Friday (1/24) via USPS but since it was shipped USPS there is no tracking number. She told me that it takes 5 days to get to me, and I should expect it no later than Saturday 2/2.
Due to it being shipped USPS with no tracking number available, I am lead to believe that the trigger HAS NOT been shipped yet and I am just being given the run around. I am EXTREMELY pissed off with this. I will NEVER order a single thing from your company that hires incompetent employees who can't even tell what a specific item looks like, or find out if the item truly is in-stock.
2/4/2013 - Monday - Update
USPS delivered mail today and surprise, surprise, no Geissele Trigger like I was told would be delivered. It has now been 7 full business days since it was "shipped" out on Friday, 1/25. I was told by Megan on 1/24 that it would be delivered in 5 days and she said EXPLICITLY it would be delivered no later than Saturday 2/2.
2/4/2013 - Monday - 11:30am MST - Spoke with Megan - 53min hold time, ___ min call time Asked where my trigger was, she put me on hold again. Said she ran out to the shelf and got the trigger in hand and will ship it out today via USPS. This is the 4th time that someone has told me they had it in their hand and it would ship out. I demanded to speak with a supervisor, she claimed the supervisor left for the day (which with the way this company is run, their supervisor should be working 24/7 until they unfuck everything that their employees are screwing up).
I demanded to speak to someone who could guarantee me that it would be shipped out TODAY via UPS and that I'd get a tracking number today. She put me on hold before I finished speaking, and I have no clue if she is getting someone or not.
She came back saying that she has created a shipping label and it will be shipped out in the morning. She claimed she couldn't get me a tracking number because the USPS doesn't offer tracking numbers. I told her I refused to get off the phone until she got me a tracking number or someone who could. In walks Brian. I explained the situation to Brian and he claimed that because the part was so small it would not be shipped out via UPS. After explaining to him that my LPK arrived in a 14" x 8.5" x 6.5" box, he claimed those had to be shipped via UPS. He then said he could get me a tracking number for USPS.
Finally received a tracking number, but whether or not it is a valid tracking number I will not know until it is processed tomorrow at the earliest, 2-3 days when I can see the progress of it.
This seems appropriate for your situation.

On second thought, PSA seems to have actually screwed me once more. Turns out they didn't ship anything to me, they only created a shipping label and that number was emailed to me. USPS still hasn't received the package and it should have been updated last night.
I called my bank to start the charge back process. They advised me to ship the parts that I have received back, and maintain proof that I shipped it back (USPS tracking number is sufficient). I have gathered everything, took a picture showing the USGI trigger that I received and will wait until Monday, 2/11, to ship it back, in the complete off chance that they actually did ship the trigger and I will receive it in a couple of days (but HIGHLY doubtful).

If you ordered one item, you should be fine and you should expect to see it by the end of February. If you ordered multiple parts, make sure you count them all and if they aren't there, just return them immediately. My situation is absolutely horrible and I don't want anyone to have to go through this, even if you can't get the parts else where, its better than having paid for parts you haven't and won't receive because their packaging department can't count or read the invoice and determine what exactly you purchased.

Not trying to defend them, but USPS's "tracking" is horrible, and 90% of the time I've had the package in hand before the website shows anything for tracking. Just saying. It's part of the reason I never ship anything with them that I need to actually track.

Yea, I've never had a problem with delivery confirmation from USPS, it was always updated the second it got into the hands of USPS (well, that night when they update the servers). This package showed up at our regional distributor this morning, and in my city by 8am and out for delivery. Still waiting for my fiancee to get the mail to tell me if its there or not, and then I'll have her open it up to verify it is indeed the trigger.
Still trying to decide if I should proceed with returning the items because I don't want PSA to have ANY of my money, or if I should just accept it and never deal with them again (kinda leaning towards the latter because its easier and I'm tired of dealing with them).

I already have the LPK boxed up and ready to ship out if there isn't a Geissele SSA Trigger waiting for me when I get home.
If I decide to return them both, there's room for both to fit. If I decide to keep, I just have to call my bank and cancel the charge back. Otherwise, if I decide to keep them, then I will install the Geissele trigger in my rifle and have a spare LPK. Perhaps I can trade it for an upper or a bcg. [LOL]
Cause, LPKs are like PMags right, they're the new basis of what everything is worth!

I placed an order with them on Jan 3rd for a single in-stock item. CC was charged on Jan 4th. I haven't received said item yet (26 business days later) and the only response I get via email for two weeks is "You're very important to us, we will respond shortly."
I'm not impatient. I placed an order with MidwayUSA in early Nov that still hasn't shipped. But guess what, they haven't charged me so I'm not bothering them about it.
But since Palmetto State charged me all I want to do is confirm if it was shipped or not and if it has, then I want to file a claim that it was never delivered. That's it.
I understand folks are busy. But that is no excuse for eliminating customer service. I won't be ordering from them again.
Update 02/11: Today, over one month later, I got an email saying they don't have the in-stock item I ordered therefore they are canceling my order and refunding the money that they should have never charged me in the first place. [facepalm]I have ordered from 6 or 7 other online retailers since Nov and not one other company has done that. Mistakes happen, but in the future I will be spending my money at the other retailers that make doing business easy, not Palmetto State.

Well won't you know it, I defend them...and get my order fumbled as a return favor. Got "my" package today, opened up upper is there all this other stuff must be my lpk...wait no that's a strikefire, and this isn't my name on the shipping slip...dammit. Already called them as I don't like that Karma bug and kinda want my lpk but would like some advice:
Call and tell them and guy says just send it back with this slip we'll email you and we'll get yours out to you. I ask if that's going to take another four weeks and his answer is, "well...uhhhh....no man it won't". Let's just say I wasn't exactly filled with confidence.
So should I:
a)Hold onto this package until mine comes
b)try to get them to change my order to what I already have and call it good
c)send it back now and hope I get my package maybe
d)Just contact this guy (his email and phone # are on the invoice) and see if he got my stuff and if we can just work it out between us
As an aside, I know Columbia is just up the road but between full-time school, full-time work, pregnant lady, I don't exactly have time to spend a whole day going in person to unfuck someone else's problem and I ordered online an paid shipping for the exact purpose of avoiding that.
You guys are scaring me. I have an upper due to arrive tomorrow.
Other than a missing bag of LPK on one order that they promptly fixed no questions asked, PSA has been reliable sending me correct and complete orders. They're behind like everyone else, but have been solid for me.
To be honest the two orders are pretty similar and the totals are almost identical, so I can see how it happened. Still like C'mon man...

I ordered a blem PSA lower last week - transferred to MGT in Lakewood right away and I picked it up yesterday.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out what the blem is, other than the whole thing smells like a bag of cheetos.
For the price, I dig it. :) I'm hoping to build a rifle for my dad as a bit of a surprise gift. This was part #1.

I'd definitely do business with them again. I also enjoyed their torture test video...

I bought a 6.8 upper from them, they said 15 days to ship, I had it in 10. Since then I have placed several orders with them. I have never had to wait more than 3-4 days for shipping and all the orders I have received in a timely manner and complete. I have no complaints.
I ordered a couple of stripped uppers and a bgc on the 13th after 8 days they couldn't tell me when it would ship so I canceled the order. I really think you just get lucky with them.
By the way the order is still in processing.
That bites, Lurch.
I ordered a couple stripped lowers and LPK's from them on Friday, got a tracking number today. Will make sure to inventory all the small stuff, when I get it. Projected delivery date is 10/7.

I've had good success with them in the past. I just hate how long it takes to process orders.

I ordered an upper and took 3 weeks to ship it. The lower and parts I ordered after I ordered the upper came very quickly. Dunno the problem. They told me reasons were parts not in, build time and testing was 3 weeks, last reason was they were out of boxes. Got it all and very pleased.

I'd definitely do business with them again.
This did happen and I got my new stripped receiver pretty quick. [Dunno]
I'm hoping to build an almost identical copy of the PSA plinker I built as a surprise for my dad, since I liked his so much.

I ordered 2 Bcg from PSA early September,
Got the wrong order.. 4 emails, 2 phone calls and a bitch session on their Facebook later, the sales manager finally responded to my email. I got my order a week ago finally.
I have ordered many things from PSA in the past and talked highly of PSA. This last headache really discourages me from ordering anything from them in the future.

Always have had a good experience dealing with them
Their customer communication is horrible and their shipping department is run by a bunch of bonobos. If you want to find out the status of your order you have to go on AR15.com and ask them in a thread in their industry section. Seems like a strange way to do business. Love my PSA rifle though.
Never had a single issue. Just lucky, I guess. Many orders. YMMV

In the last week I ordered from 5 different vendors..... Only one hasn't shipped:PSA
My beef is the fact they are the first to charge you but the last to ship.

I ordered from them, took about 4 days to ship, everything arrived as ordered. Seems like they have recovered from the panic induced craziness.
