.. guy must be slammed today.

Yesterday I wasn't expecting him and the air rifle I ordered so early at 10AM and missed hearing the doorbell. The backyard rabbits will live another day.

Today, I'm holding out with the office door open, AC turned off, cause he has that and the Sig716 I had to send back; house very quiet, and he's still not here!

C'mon Fedex guy, get here already [Bang]

P.S. I really need to get one of those wireless doorbell repeaters in here.

I wanted .22 cal, something with a gas cylinder and no sproing.

Best deal I could find and they are quick to ship (although e-mail ship and order status updates are very lacking.)

Nice surprises from Sig on the 716 too!

This:

From the work order:

Inspected the rifle
Polished the chamber
Cleaned up gas port at the valve to ensure proper function
Cleaned up the hammer and trigger
Test fired with no malfunctions. Provided the mag used during test fire as a courtesy.

I also found other presents! QD sling parts in the buttstock, and a nice little handwritten post-it note from the Smith tucked inside the grip.

"Cleaned up your Trigger. Cool to work on guns coming from a state I lived in for 39 years. Happy shooting... Mike B."

Trigger went from worst, grittiest ever, to possibly better than my Noveske.

Hope she runs now. That .308 group buy hasn't closed yet. Our .45 JHP was supposed to be in this week but didn't.

I picked up 400 rds PPU .308 from Wideners at a good price to tide me over.http://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/images/cleardot.gif

Soooo? Have you shot the Gamo yet?

Why the gas instead of a springer?

Zeroed it today at blgc. Not too shabby. Gas for a quieter gun. Rabbits should run and hide before I get them with the wabbit swayer.

Sig was flawless and I was banging steel at 600 with it. Trigger is really nice now, may not bother with the sd-3g I was gonna get.

Sounds like a very nice trigger job!!

I can't decide between gas piston or spring...

Just got a nitro piston Benjamin. Damn fun.
Now prepare to spend hours on this site http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/
And spend hours on your gun. A whole lotta fun and cheap to tinker.
The information on the gta site is priceless. Shooting a springer, inert gas, or piston gun in MUCH different then a regular firearm. How you hold the gun is extremely important. Also each gun seems to like a specific brand, weight, and shape pellet.
