I wasn't sure where to place this so hopefully "kit building and gunsmithing" is all inclusive.

Question: Is there a way to add a little more leather to a holster?

Details: I have a Crossbreed IWB holster that I love. It was made for a G26, but I currently carry a G19. The body dimensions are the same so it fits perfectly, except for the slide of the barrel. There is a small part (1/2 inch or so) that sticks out from the leather and it rubs my leg, etc. Is there a way to add like a 2 inch half circle or something to the bottom of the rig without just sewing it on and it looking cheesy? (I know, I know... it's concealed, who cares if it looks cheesy? I do. I'm weird like that.)

Thanks folks. I would say I love y'all but I don't want to be branded as a [Swim][Flower]. HAHAHA.

I'd say think back to Scouting making that leather wallet.

Get a piece of leather big enough and cut it to the size you want. Then punch holes in both pieces of leather every 1/4" or so, and loop through some heavy thread. Might not be perfect, but should do well enough!

Yeah, I don't have any leather punches and whatnot. That may be my only route huh...

You could make a new backer for it. I'm not 100% sure on how CB built their holsters but it should be an option. You can use a drill bit to make the holes rather then a leather punch.

Rgr, was thinking about that.
