Gratifying. Thought you guys might want a peek. Lots of signs in their weird script but a few signs in English (sometimes badly mangled english) seem to be making their way around:

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Those folks holding the signs had better watch their backs before their countrymen starting beheading them in the town square.
Wait a minute. I thought all muslims hate us because we aren't muslim???

This article is by a reporter who has been in Libya several times and did a lot of reporting with the rebels during the civil war.
http://www.worldaffairsjournal.org/blog/ann-marlowe/reading-benghazi-embassy-attack
Her reading is that they are mostly pro-US and very anti-Islamist but it is hard to deal with with the hard code nutjobs since:
"..most of the Qaddafi-era police have not returned to work, the new internal security forces are still embryonic, and there is effectively no Libyan army at the moment."
Extremists can do very well when there is no central authority to squash them.

Buyers regret...
The marines and Drones are inbound and now they are sorry.
Sorry they did it or sorry they are about to be pounded for it?
Not believing it any more than I believe the "religion of peace" crap.

They said that about Egypt too...
I am skeptical. I view Islam today at barely past medieval Christianity - they need a seminal thinker such as Aquinas to drag them bodily out of their very backwards view of the world. Such Muslims exist, but I think we have learned through painful experience that they are a minority, and mostly live in the west already (why would you stay in the mideast if you were a modern-thinking Muslim?)
However, there is also the case of a small, ideologically consistent, determined minority triumphing over a fragmented majority that concedes a lot of moral idealism to that minority, which is what may have happened. If you study how the communists, though consistently a minority, consistently won fights to rule a country, you can get a sense of how a minority (a large minority, but still a minority) of Islamists can take over a country that really doesn't want them.
So, I dunno, is the bottom line.

That's so sweet..... but according to some reports, the Ambassador's body was dragged thru the streets of Benghazi after his death. Nuke 'em all.

Over 242,000,000 Muslims (more than Iran/Iraq/Syria/Saudi Arabia/Egypt combined) have yet to flee Indonesia for "The West" and aren't generally prone to flying planes into NY buildings... but that doesn't fit the narrative well.

Sources for this please. It contradicts every bit of reporting of this incident that I have read or watched.

That's how it was reported originally, until the State Department denied it. I dont think we'll know what really happened. Islamists love to record these kind of stuffs w/ their celly - I think we'll see some vid clip on the event.

Well, I'm not suggesting that every Muslim is a terrorist. Isn't that a bit reductionist? You don't need to want to blow up the infidel personally to be part of that same philosophical movement - you just need to view the Islamists as idealists, perhaps misguided, who are trying to achieve something genuinely good in the world. Which seems to be the case.

The "pro American" protests are classic Al Taquia (lying to infidels to further the cause of Islam).
Front Page has an interesting article (http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenfield/libya-responds-by-staging-fake-apology-rally)on it.
Also note that the anti-Mohammad movie that started this mess, supposedly made by a "Sam Bacile, an Israeli Jew living in California" is BS too ... now they're saying (http://nation.time.com/2012/09/12/california-man-confirms-role-in-anti-islam-film/)it was made by an Egyptian Coptic Christian named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula... by the time this is all said and done we'll probably find the fingerprints of the Muslim Brotherhood on it.
Everything about these people is a lie. While I'm not gung-ho about the idea of outright genocide, we do have to find some way to isolate these people and keep them away from us (developing our own oil resources so we aren't dependent on them is a good start).

This seems to be a case of wagging the dog...this concept exists, therefore, they must be liars who really love killing Americans.
Hey look, every culture has the concept of lying for gains. It doesn't mean anything said nice about us is a lie.

Thirteen centuries of hatred, violence, threats and invasions and I'm supposed to forget all of that because a couple of people that likely don't read/speak English are carrying signs at a demonstration saying "sorry, that ain't us"?
I'm willing to accept that these people are indeed contrite, but its going to take more than a protest or two.

Looking at that article it appears to be the exact same sign held by 4 different people- while I'm not disputing that this could be a case of Al Taquia, I am questioning FrontPage's credibility since it's plainly obvious that that is the exact same sign. I am not going to say kill them all, but I will warn, don't trust a single one of these rag head MFers.

The Daily Beast says the guy is a convicted meth cooker. I'm not even going to post a link. All these 'news' places are going nuts trying to scoop each other. He'll probably be a triplle agent for CIA, Mossad and KGB by tomorrow.

Not going to happen. Not buying this one bit. These people don't have the look of remorseful people, they have the look of people planted by their government which is worried about American retribution.

The war between Islam and the rest of humanity started in the 620s and has been continuous ever since, we're just entering a "hotter" phase of this war.

This!
A friend of mine who is a SEAL said perhaps the best line ever once- "When your enemy speaks only one language, violence, diplomacy has failed before it can even be attempted. You must speak in return the only language he knows."
Yes, there are liars in both beds, but it does not explicitly state in the Bible that you are granted permission from God to lie to your enemy in order to gain a decisive advantage over them. The Qu'ran actually states that you must deceive your enemy in order to gain enough strength to defeat him and so he won't see your attack coming. Having 'been there, done that' I've seen first hand what Muslims are like, and I don't trust them, even if they hold US citizenship.

And every muslim reading your post now knows what every American is like. To judge an entire religious group off the actions of a select minority is the biggest form of ignorance and arrogance today. You may have been overseas, but you certainly have not "been there and done that" if you believe you can judge everyone off what limited experience you've had and what CNN has fed you. And you want to be a Deputy??? I can see the claims of racism against you already.

I don't judge anyone, I just simply stated my personal opinion that I don't trust a group of people because of their system of beliefs and what their holy book has instructed them to live by (which in my experience they follow their book a lot more than your average Christian or Jew)... kind of like I don't trust Democrats. Hell, in my experience, I don't trust anyone. I certainly don't hate based on a thin line of information on a person, I hate on an individual basis based on what they've done to me and mine. People already claim I'm racist because I'm a white conservative. I don't put my distrust into judgement of others- I judge a person by the content of their character on an individual basis.
And I refuse to watch CNN. [Beer]
