Bringing this back to life. I just came upon this video today and wondered the same thing. Thinking about doing something similar for my Glock 26 daily carry.

Buy a glock, buy a good set of sights if you need them, and spend the rest of the money on ammo. KISS

The skimmer trigger is a significant upgrade, shortens up the reset and reduces travel to break. Do you need it probably not, is it nice to have, absolutely.

I was able to accomplish this with the Ghost Rocket 3.5 disconnector for $25. Is it like a 1911? No. But the over travel was reduced exponentially, and the overall weight dropped by more than 1lb.

I have 4, all my glocks have one. Significantly better.
