On the last night of the Democratic National Convention, a retired Navy four-star took the stage to pay tribute to veterans. Behind him, on a giant screen, the image of four hulking warships reinforced his patriotic message.

But there was a big mistake in the stirring backdrop: those are Russian warships.

While retired Adm. John Nathman, a former commander of Fleet Forces Command, honored vets as America’s best, the ships from the Russian Federation Navy were arrayed like sentinels on the big screen above.

and the folks that they have overseeing us vendors are clueless.

This coulda happened to either party. It's not a Dem problem.. it's not a Rep. problem. It's just the way things roll.

Not buying that. Idiocy needs no speculative excuses. If they were stupid enough to pull God and Jerusalem from the platform, then put it to a rigged voice vote to put it back in the platform, they are easily dumb enough to show off the Russian navy.

either way .. I do this shit all the damn time I did 95% of the Bush/Cheney visits to colorado in 04, 90% of the McCain/Palin visits in 08 and doing a crap load of the Romeny/Ryan ones this year... Hell did Ryan just last week in the Springs.

All that said..

It is fun to laugh at it happening to the Dem's ( and not my company making the screw up LOL )I've got to agree and add in that the flag people have pointed it is quite small and this should be a non-issue. Honestly outside of the military and people working in the defense industry, how many people can tell the difference between a Russian cruiser and a US one? Someone likely did a search for navy ships or something similar, of course if it was me I'd would have wanted an aircraft carrier since that is what US Naval power is based around.

There are way too many other real issues to call Obama and the Democrats to task for to focus on a picture screw up by a low level staffer or outside vendor.
