I had a dolt of a lady banging on the door an hour and a half before we opened. I was ignoring her and she could see that I was busy. Next thing I know she is banging on the window in front of me. Now I'm pissed, so I go to the door and ask what is so important. She asks when we open. I point to the hours of operation sign next to the door. Her response was "but when are you open?". I just closed the door and walked away.

My porch has a gate on it, with a "no soliciting" sign on the post. The gate had a snap clip on it (not a lock, but still required reaching over and unclipping it). I answered the door to find a woman who identified herself as a teacher from Wheatridge High School, and she starts her pitch about whatever liberal politician she was supporting (and expecting me to). I told her I was not interested, and pointed out that she had walked past a "no soliciting" sign. Instead of leaving, she started arguing about the definition of "soliciting". She felt that since she wasn't selling anything, my sign didn't apply to her! A brief argument ensued, and I told her that if she didn't leave, I'd call the police. Didn't work, she wanted to argue Trespass laws. She finally left when I told her that I was about to physically remove her from my property. This really pissed me off. She represented herself as a teacher, therefore was representing her school. My tax dollars paying for liberal proselytizing?[Rant1]. I wrote a letter about the event to the school's principal. Never got a response.

We have been living way out in the woods for the past 17 1/2 years and have had only two (2) solicitors on our property and I walked down to met them coming up our driveway. Both were GOING to attempt to sell frozen meat or other food products. Told them sorry but we were NOT buying anything - period. unless the acceleration lane after that right turn merges in 75 feet and the CDL truck you are driving takes a 1/4 mile to get up to the posted speed limit... Try it someday on Wadsworth in the I-70 area.

We have two extremely busy intersectons down here in Trinidad and each is equipped with only sets of 4 way stop signs. After making a full stop, ya have to really watch very closely to see just whose "turn" it is to proceed. The very young and the very old (NOT including me) are the biggest offenders of blasting right through these intersections with just a little reduction in their speeds. I'm sure BrokenScout and Spyder know all about these two potential widow makers. [Luck]

Regarding 4 ways, I get pissed when people don't know when it's their turn. They're on the right, arrived and came to a stop well before me, but want to sit there and wave me ahead of them. At a controlled intersection, this is not courtesy, it's stupidity, and screws up the flow.

Also, seems that most folks don't know that when turning right onto a 4 lane, you should turn into the closest lane. Same for turning left: turn into the nearest lane. Do it right, and both can make their turn. It's magic! But it seems that everyone I encounter wants to use the entire road.

Kind of like the woman that came to my house wanting to talk about how great BHO is... She wouldn't take no for an answer while I was trying to clean the windows in the back of my Bronco, but when I got out and she saw that I was open carrying, she excused herself promptly and almost ran to the neighbor's house (who had a good laugh at her when she asked him if he knew I had a *gasp* G-U-N. whats with those roofing guys . every week some jack hole stops and bothers my father . one of them almost got him . he called me saying he was getting a new free roof .i told him to let me talk to the guy before he did anything . turned out to be a scam sort of that the insurance company was in on . they really talked fast and almost had me convinced that it was free . the fast talking got to me so i looked him in the eye and said "if this comes out of my pocket then ill hold you responsible". the truth then came right out . sure they will gladly cut you a check for the roof , but it only covers half or less and your insurance rate goes up . so you are then stuck with the remainder of the bill .

That one is pretty long, longer than West bound I-70. Do you mean Ward Rd to EB I-70? They just recently fixed that one though.

I meant on Wadsworth form 29 th. Ave to about 72 nd. Ave. there is very little acelaration lanes to merge onto Wadsworth from the sidestreets and I always end up with some dipstick laying on the horn and cussing out the window.
And also the tards that cant see 1/2 a block in front of them the flashing strobes and cones out and a 40 foot boom with a man basket on it extended into the air, that run all the way up to my rear bumper and cause a traffic jamb at the intersection.
