So I'm working on, or rather trying to work on two different uppers at the moment... I have a .30 cal barrel, and a .458 barrel, both of which I'm putting on an AR platform. My problem is that my tool room (where we get some of our tools from for now since we don't have an unlimited budget to work on being in school and all), told me they had chamber reamers for a .458 SOCOM, and the 300 Blackout, neither of which do they actually have. Does anyone here know of where I can get these chamber reamers? I have been looking everywhere for them and can't find one.......

Thanks for the company info BP. Now that I have found a 458, I need to find a 7.62x40.....

Of all the different flavors of 300 Whisper, the 7.62x40 is the hardest to make.

Ya, but it seemed like the most fun. [Beer] Also when you do the supersonic, it looks like it has the best performance which is what I am interested in. It was either that, or the 30 Remington AR. In the beginning, I was originally looking at the 7.62x39, but then I decided I wanted to do something different. I'm taking both of these to the Shot Show and the Brownell's career fair and didn't want to take the 556/223 like everyone else does.

Very nice. Like to see your project in phases.

I have pictures of a lower I'm working on right now. One of my classmates broke one of the ears off of it and tried welding it back on... Didn't work out so well. So, now I'm doing a little machining to it and seeing what I can do to resolve the problem nicely. The 458 barrel is a #6 contour originally made for a 700. I'm cutting it down and making it fit my AR. I've already looked everything over and it will all work out, well, if I get my hands on a chamber reamer for the damn thing...

Anyone want to trade for those reamers if you have them?

So...... Does anyone here have 458 SOCOM, or 7.62x40 reamers that I can borrow/trade something for time borrowed?
