View Full Version : Saw something this weekend in Glenwood

The wife and I snuck away for a couple of days, and while we were relaxing at the hot springs pool, I saw something I have never actually seen in real life before: A pair of V-22 Ospreys flying formation, very low over the mountain. They executed a turn basically right above us, and disappeared behind the ridgeline. Anyone know where they were flying out of?

I have seen them along w/ KC130 in the grand junction area. I think they do low level flying training in western Colorado.

I was in Vail over the weekend and I'm pretty sure I saw those same ones.

Fort Carson has Marines training in V-22's...

Training. I have a friend who is a MH-53 pilot and he's been to CO several times for high-altitude mountainous terrain flights. Lot's of good comparisons here to the 'Stan terrain speaking.

Id love to see those flying. They were testing them at NAS Oceana when I was stationedc in Norfolk, VA but I never saw them

I wonder if they're the same two Osprey's we saw passing through Amarillo on the 6th...
