So last time I showed pictures of my stuff, it was work done on some G30's. This time, it's my Hk USP. I'm just going to have fun with this gun. I'm going to end up doing absolutely everything I can to this gun, slide lightening (maybe more), matching the spring rate to the slide weight, I fit an aluminum weight to it that a friend made me, I'm putting a Delta Point on it recessed into the slide with the sights moved forward in front of it, Cerakoting the slide and weight Burnt Bronze, coating the Jarvis barrel with TiN along with a couple mags.... I might, might even flute the barrel. This is just an "all or nothing" gun for me. Anyway, here is what it looks like right now. I know you can't see it in the pictures, but the serrations in the slide match the angles of the serrations in the weight. The size of the serrations are different and so is the spacing, but I wanted it to also look good if I didn't have the weight on. For those of you that like the Match, but also hate the extra weight, that the weight has... the aluminum is awesome!

This is what it looked like with the weight's final fit...

I had to make an insert that fit like a glove inside the slide so I didn't crush anything in the vise.

With the weight, but no barrel (still have to get it).

So, that's it so far. Still a long way to go. [Beer]

Be honest... You have to be a little nervous when you started right?

It's my 12th gun I've done this with. The DRO on the mill makes it very very simple. All I have to do is take my time, and hit my numbers. The first gun I did (wife's G30), made me nervous. With everything set up right though, I didn't think twice about it. [Beer]

.. really looking forward to all that you plan to do with this piece...

So I decided to move forward on my stainless first before the black one. The stainless is staying silver of course, and I don't know if I'm gona put a compensator on it like the black one. I did for the pictures, just for picture's sake. The black one is going to get stripped of its bluing and get Cerakoted as soon as I cut into it for its sight. Then I have to decide if I'm dipping it in hydrographics... There is still black marker on the top of the slide where I marked my stopping point, and I still have to put the rear sight back on.

Nice.
Just wondering, the weight of a USP is 1.73 lb, how much does it weigh now?

At first with this, I just parkerized it, and then reblued it leaving it black... I also recessed the Burris into the slide.

I needed cash, so I sold the weight and barrel along with the stainless that I did the same thing to...

This is what I did next however; I blasted the finish off of it, and cerakoted it in burnt bronze. I also had the barrel coated in TiN (like drill/mill bits).
