So in 3 yrs I finally bought a MIG welder. We are TIGgers 100%, but there is a always a place for a MIG.

If you are a welder you will get it! [ROFL1] Think Chev, Ford, Dodge.

I love my Miller Tigs, but can't beat a Lincoln MIG!

Just for giggles.

I personally think the miller mig is the best on the market. But the Lincoln pipeline welder is king of the hill.

I used to have a Snap-On MIG. It was a really good welder.

Miller is better. It's not a "ford, chevy, dodge" debate. That would imply that it's just personal choice, and not superior equipment.

My lincoln t-135 run just fine

So have all of the lincoln's I've used.

The Millers are just a cleaner arc.

It's an opinion developed through observation.

It's on par with saying that Bushmaster is just as good as BCM, and any opinion otherwise is just that, opinion.[Beer]

I have the opposite- Lincoln TIG and Miller MIG- both do thier job as required and I have not felt the need to fire either one.
Not as enthusiastic about newer MILLER TIGs, but I LOVED my old MILLER MIGs.

I have a miller bobcat for structural(Vaults) and a Lincoln mig for some smaller jobs. Both great machines!

Outstanding! As a welder myself I can honestly say I love both those rigs. Hope they can work things out!

I just have an old Century 155 that wont die. Had it for 21 years now. At my age I don't dare buy some fancy machine because I have gotten used to looking at the material and twisting the knobs and guess what? A good looking weld. [Coffee]

nice

Run more spools thru a lincoln and a miller than I care to think about (run about 44# every 2 months I think). When it came to buying a new one, just asked Airgas which. Was simply told both are great machines, Miller's customer service is way above Lincoln's. Which in my experience has been true. Lincoln's isnt bad, but Miller's is astounding. And I think Lincoln has worked on getting theirs a lot better over the last couple years as well.

I've seen that video before, that guy is awesome. What is the name of the song playing in your video? I've listened to like five other Bassnectar songs and can't figure out which one it is.

That's horrible. It sounds like kitchen appliances fighting or either Skynet is finally taking over.

No MIG here, I had an off brand Italian 165 amp model that was dual voltage and I think I had paid $250.00 for it. Had a nice stitch and spot switch, worked great for my needs at the time and was awesome for bodywork.
Sold it after I picked up my TIG machine and I wish I hadn't.

I snagged my TIG (Miller Syncrowave 200) with 5 hours on it in a trade. Gave a DPMS 20" 308 for it. This machine rocks.
I was talking with a buddy tonight about TIGing some plate and he said his Hobart needs to run @ 120 amps where my Miller will do the same weld at 80 amps.
Very clean and stable arc and what little bit of aluminum I have done with it was very clean and ran a great bead.
Thinking about it when I was burning wire for a living we used Hobarts or Millers, I only used a red machine for a few months and I really didn't care for it. Hardfacing really sucked with it.
