Are there different companies making the PVS-14, or are is it's justo n factory, and different brands being placed on them as they leave the where they are made? Curious to know as I am not sure which one is the best.

Gov contract is through ITT (Cage code 13567 and 66868) and Litton (cage code 55311 and 51298). There are other companies making PVS-14 style monoculars, but the current contract is through those 2 companies according to TM 11-5855-306-23&P

TNVC makes GREAT Nods I Dare say equal to the litton/ITTs

+1 for TNVC. Great company, solid products. I have one of their "night enforcer" PVS-14s. It's definitely nice than the NOD I was issued in the military.

Only thing ive seen nicer is quadeye or the pvs 20's but forget wearing that all the time.

The industry leaders are ITT and L3. These are american based companies while ATN is Russian.

It is extremely important that when you research night vision that you make sure you are comparing apples to apples. There is a variety of quality of tubes even made by the industry leaders. They can be advertised as P-, P, P+, hand select, image clean, etc etc. Alot of companies charge more for P+ tubes and hand select fees.

Now i know that we, MODArmory, only sell hand select, image clean tubes. This means that you will not have any blems or spots and our minimum FOM rate is 1700. The ITT Night Enforcer typically has a FOM of 900 and you cannot specify the quality of tube.
