View Full Version : CMG August 11-12 Guernsey Invitational
All of you are hopefully planning on attending:)
The stages are coming along nicely and a revised schedule has been posted at http://www.coloradomultigun.com/cgi/. One major change is that the night shoot will be occuring Friday evening after the Shooters Meeting. Billeting currently does not have many shooters scheduled, so please be sure to contact base billeting at 307-836-7814 and let them know you are there for the Colorado Multigun match. They will be attempting to house all competitiors in Bld 409, which is good because it has AC:)
see you all there,

Anybody know if they are going to have a sponsors "tent" and stuff for sale??
If so it would be worth the drive!!!

Since most of our sponsors are also competing we don't have a vendor area. We will however have everything out when we do the prize table. I just got in two complete 18inch Sabre Defence rifles that will be going with me.

Sounds reasonable, our oldest one is actually up at Camp Guernsey now for JROTC

Am working the 12th & besides, I'd get my azz smoked and handed to me before getting started. Really need to get some range time in as it's been a looong looooooooooong time since I've done any serious AR shooting & never have done any long distance shooting.
Went to Vail and back 2 times dropping off a daughter & picking her up to stay with friends for a week. Doubt we will be back in the area till next summer if she stays with em again.
Took the gravel road out of Idaho Springs up & over the MT and ended up in Neederland & had some seriously good food at the German/American restaurant there!!!
Sure is purdy country down that a way [Love1][Love1]

Thats ok. People that say "I need more practice before I can compete" never get out there and learn anything about *their* shooting, muchless anything about competitive shooting.
Matches are also a great place to try out new gear.

They are also the ones who would rather spend the entrance fee on ammo & fuel/munchies while having fun with the family & especially with the oldest daughter who wants to shoot "her" AR-15's more now that she shot the FATS at Guernsey.
Some of em also learned how to shoot in the military and has some trigger time not only on the range, but in the FATS simulators & knows where they stink & where they don't & how to improve, but now has let life little issues take over like trying to eek out a living on a military retirement take presidence.
Besides, some of em just ain't into competitive shooting, but would like to see it on the civilian side & possibly try it sometime (and yes some of em were SAS shooters and competed in SASS shooting) for fun and games, not with a bunch of class A personality people who only care about winning.
What's "new gear" unless ya are counting the "original" SOE Force Vest, Blackhawk H harness/LBE and 1st generation 6004 holster [LOL][LOL][LOL]
Such a dork am I [Neene3][Neene3][Neene3]
The only way to get better at compitition like this is to actually go shoot in them.
unfortunatly I cant make it and I had all intentions of going.
The main point is the safe fun aspect of the shoot. The group of people who shoot our matches are great and helpful. We want to encourage shooters who have never tried the sport to try and we do help you through the experience. It isn't all about winning, but I truely think people can come out have a great time learn a thing or two and only compete against themselves:)
try it you will like it and let us know u need some help,
