I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.

Does it have anything to do with Romneys 47%er speech?

He was talking about Romney.
He was talking about Romney.
So am I.
Romney didn't say it particularly well...
We all know what Kennedy said, but this is what 'obama says:
Ask not what you can do for your country but how much your country can take from your neighbor and give to you...

Kerry was ahead of bush at the final days polls in 2004. McCain was way ahead of Obama at one point too. These polls are not to be trusted.
I think they should just take exit polls for the weather, instead of having weather men.

Yes, absolutely. Every poll until election day will be tilted for Obama.

Yes, I am being kind.
Please allow me to rephrase.
Polls are a complete and total fraud, just like the lamestream media. They are all utterly and completely in the bag for The Failure, The Bastard, Current pResident of These United States.

Except it isn't.
The numbers may be slightly different but the reality is the same.
Of course, some types of gov't assistance are necessary. The bottom line is there are far too few people paying to support far too many. Half the country carries the weight of the other half.
I hope they keep saying Obama is way ahead and will win with ease, then all the dip shit pot heads and hippies will think they won't have to show up to vote and Romney will win by a landslide[Beer]
IMHO Romney really shot himself in the leg and offended a lot of the population with the 47% comment. That would be why I think Obama is leading in the polls.

They [who ever "They" are] say sooner or later everyone will either work for the .gov or be supported by it.
I think ole Rommers was trying to say that nearly half the country is locked in for Obama, so he only has a small margin of actual voters left to work with to swing the election. Also, that 47% of people don't pay Federal income taxes. Also that most of those people that are locked in for Obama believe that the government should be taking care of people. Maybe not them, but someone.
By putting that all in one sentence the way that he did, I think he shot himself in the foot as Ashton said. Now we'll have to wait and see if his foot was in his mouth or not.

I don't think he hurt his chances at all. The people who bitch the loudest about what he said aren't going to vote for Romney anyway. The people who are going to vote for Romney agree with his premise.
Maybe a few undecideds might be a little butt hurt. But, if they're honest with themselves, they'll know he was right.

That, I can agree with. There are 13M unemployed and quite a few of the 15M on welfare I'd like to see to have jobs.
Half the country carries the weight of the other half.
Not even close to the truth.
Repost:
Here's an idea of who those 47% are, based on a little research from as non-partisan sites as I could find:
The 47% figure is from the 2009 tax year, which was the year in which the US suffered from its worst recession ever, and the 47% is the number of Americans not represented on a taxable return, so that includes stay at home moms and children.
http://blog.heritage.org/2012/02/19/...-income-taxes/ (http://blog.heritage.org/2012/02/19/chart-of-the-week-nearly-half-of-all-americans-dont-pay-income-taxes/)
For the 2009 tax year, the government granted a $500 per worker tax credit (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) that phased downward after $75k for singles and $150k income for couples, along with improved child credit, earned income credit, increased tax credits for college students and around $8k in tax credits to first time home buyers, among other benefits. With all these tax credits, it's not a surprise that fewer people owed income tax than before.
Current US population is around 300 million, so 47% is about 140 million Americans.
Current welfare recipients (Aid for Families with Dependent Children) number about 15 million. Over half of those stay on welfare for less than two years. It's statistically likely that a substantial portion of these recipients are minors and not eligible to work.
Social Security pays out money to just over 38 million retired folks a month. Disabled recipients including the blind and wounded veterans were another 12 million, 3 million or so survivor children also receive SS benefits. EDIT: if half of your SS benefits plus your other gross income is more than $25,000 ($32,000 if married filing jointly), then you will need to file a return.

Current unemployment figures show that 13 million people in the workforce don't have sufficient employment. Granted this number is an estimate and could be higher, but let's use it for our calculations. It's simple math, so you can modify it for your own views.
Given that welfare recipients and Social Security recipients likely don't pay federal income tax taxes, and neither do most of the unemployed, then of the 140 million Americans that weren't represented on a taxable return, about 60 million of them didn't get welfare, didn't collect Social Security and weren't on the lists of unemployed.
Rough numbers, but well within credibility, I'd warrant. I haven't included full time students, but I'm still looking for the data.
Kinda curious what you have against all those retirees, unemployed and working poor.

That right there is bullshit ,sorry,no reason to be name calling;)
The amount of people who are on that catchy PC named .gov assistance, an easy 50%, have been on it since their parents were kids.
Try to get people off it by of all things "drug testing" and the roar from the downtrodden and liberals alike is deafening.
Protecting their voting base by handing out our money.
I know people, including family members due to unforeseen circumstances had to collect the check, to survive. Those folks once able to got off the dole.

That number is based on those who derived at least 50% of their income from welfare.

It's funny how you commented this, then provided a statistic that mostly excludes those same folks.

Polls....please. Reagan was way behind in the polls a few months before the election. Look what happened there. What, 49 States won? LOL @ polls.

I was part of the 47% (<$35k a year, though I didn't collect food stamps or welfare) for...oh...6 years?
I voted Republican every time in those 6 years. (Okay, libertarian once, in a local race, but the Republican was a total cunt.)
Romney went full retard and tossed a dash of economic determinism into the mix. I don't know how many people he's going to actually alienate - a lot of repubs seem so scared of Obama that they'd vote for Stalin if he ran against him - but at least a few.
