Now this has me rolling - upsetting and scary only because it was "barnacle-encrusted"! :)

The 37-year-old Roxbury man said what was particularly upsetting is that he had his 3-year-old son with him.
It sounds more like the kid was with his mom...or at least the "other daddy" who plays mom.

"Upsetting and scary"?
I want to know what kind of lure or bait he was using!

Wow I am so scared and upset, don't know how I can make it thru the rest of the day.:(
I knew this would happen sooner or later with all the tragic boating accidents members here have had...

That dude is lame....
On the other hand it would be cool to link this gun to a criminal who tried to ditch it.
"Upsetting and scary"? Only in Boston. He probably shat himself too.
And I thought Boston was a tough town... They're all just a bunch of pansies... [ROFL3]

That's exactly what I was thinking. How many movies and TV shows do you see where a BG tosses his gun into a body of water? Art imitates life and visa versa. Doesn't surprise me in Bahston. I wonder what fishermen pull up in the Hudson in NYC? [Coffee]

Well I don't know how Boston is but I know on numerous occasions in DC I observed a dead body floating down one of the rivers. My girlfriend hit one with ore on her crew boat (or whatever they are called)

It sure as hell isn't guns. Guns are illegal in NYC, and therefore do not exist.

so, what power bait or lure, for scary gun?
i have been meaning to fish more. i dont care for fish, but I do like guns. If I can figure out what to use to catch them, I might enjoy fishing more.
Super magnets!

My office used to be just down river from the slums, and 2-3 times a year we'd see the morgue crew wearing tyvek in a rowboat hooking a floating body.

Nobody in their right mind would fish the Hudson...
