I have completed the NRA basic pistol program and my CCW should arrive in the next few weeks. Can anybody recomend who I can contact in the Denver area to get some good practical training?
Thanks!
What exactly are you needs/goals?

I am competent and accurate with a handgun, I guess I am looking for situation or light combat training. If god forbid I ever have to use a firearm in self defence but I would like to have thought out my options ahead and have a clear idea of what to do without having think too much during a stressfull situation.
Besides I would enjoy the training.
You should consider the NRA Personal Protection courses. They have two. Personal Protection in the Home, and the new Personal Protection Away from Home. Both require the basic handgun course as a pre-req., and if the instructor does it right, will have a pre-course shooting evaluation.
Both teach basic defensive shooting skills, as well as the legal liabilty section.
Also, if you look at www.coloradoshooting.org (http://www.coloradoshooting.org), which is the parent to this site, you'll find a training page with a list of instructors. I'll be updating that page in the next couple of days, or as time allows.
I'm at work, so I don't have anything with me, but there are several schools in the metro area that teach what you're looking for.
I provide a whole host of training opportunities if you are interested.
thanks,
alan
