About 1100 am my dog started to have seizures. I rushed him to the vet, they ran blood work and gave him a sedative. He had another one while there. This was before the sedative. I felt it best that I leave him there for him to be monitored, just to be safe. Blood work came back with nothing out of the ordinary. Just sucks to watch your buddy go through it and you can't do anything.

Horrible man. I feel your pain! Hopefully he makes a full recovery and the seizures don't continue.

Oh, man. My dogs are like my kids. Heck, I've had my old guy longer than either of my kids! Hope he gets better.

Hopefully nothing major. Best wishes to you.

Our dog Sammy is epileptic, and was experiencing seizures every couple hours. He takes phenobarbital now, and has not had a seizure for two years.

Update

Got my buddy back home. The vet tried to tell me that he probably won't come to front of the kennel for me to get him. What doe she know he ran right up when he heard my whistle. Anyway he seems to be doing better. They are not sure what it was. They seem to think it may be a form of epilepsy, and we may have to deal with these for the rest of his life. For now he is doing well. My girlfriend is watching him currently while I'm at work. Thanks for the prayers and wishes guys

Best wishes to you.
Get the dog on a chicken free raw food diet. My wife will do a bit of homework and research and see what she can come up with.

Sorry to hear this brother.

We had a dog who had epilepsy for about 13 years. The seizures were mostly controlled by phenobarbital, but it was always hell watching him go through one.

You've got a beautiful friend there and I hope that it's a simple and correctable reason for his seizures.

We're here if you need us!

Glad to hear he's doing better. FWIW our little guy has seizures too. They suck but things could be worse, ya know? We still have SO much fun with him and most of the time things are great.
