For the first time ever, I noticed someone CCW'ing in public tonight. It was at the Walmart at 92nd and Grant in Thornton. I'm surprised I noticed because I never pay attention to other people. I only noticed because I happened to be walking behind him and noticed that his belt sure looked saggy on his right side. I took a closer look and saw some black Comp-tac C-clamps on the belt. He wasn't printing or showing or anything, I just happened to know what to look for. It took everything I had to not run up and high-five him. I did speed up to get closer, and I could see him taking notice that someone was behind him.

I was happy to see him, since I stored my guns for vacation and was feeling pretty naked.

If it was anyone on here, High-five.

I see guys and gals here all the time open carrying at Wally world.
Being from NY it was odd at first but I'm use to it now.

I know what you mean. I called the police the first time I saw a woman driving when I first moved here.

Maybe down there you do,
But it is the very rare occasion to see someone up here OCing.
I see a bunch of CCing but I am not looking at "the sag in a man's pants"....[LOL]

We did a benefit walk for SIDS a few weeks back.

Had the kids up at the playground afterwords. Saw a dude CCing. He was printing like a mofo. Might as well been OCing.

It was good to see tho. He had one end of the playground covered and I had the other! [ROFL1]

It's Vegas, so I can't. Last time I went on vacation was an out of country cruise. Otherwise, I've yet to go anywhere that I could actually carry.

My wife always carries a knife, usually three. And I am very nice to her... [Coffee]

It's crazy that before I had mine I never once noticed that someone was carrying. Now that I know what I'm looking for I still very rarely notice anyone carrying. I figure if I know what I'm looking for and rarely see it, those who have no idea probably never see it.

Really eased my "printing" concerned when I was new. Since OC is legal I don't get too worked up about it anyway.

I like seeing other people carrying for the sake of 2A and such, but I hate being around other people carrying that I don't know. I don't know their training or experience background, I don't know their character, I don't know what they'll do when SHTF, and that complicates things.

If I had a nickel for every person I saw open carrying at the 8th Street Wally World here in The Springs I could buy lunch.

Note that most of the shootings at Walmart in Colorado Springs happen at the Platte Ave one, not the 8th St one.

I like to play that game when I am in public. "Spot the CCW." It's like people watching with a twist.

I did pack my knife in case I decide to carry it; but I am not familiar with the laws here.

On a side note, I'm posting from a stall at Circus Circus, and the guy next to me is puking.

I saw a hot chickie on a bike one time zip past me with a baby glock on the small of her back. I guess not concealed at that time cause of the way she was positioned riding but it was love at first sight.

Okay maybe I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't trying to look at something else.[Tooth]

Man, from years of casino work experience I could tell many a disgusting story...the hard core gamblers have some serious problems.

My wife and I went to the hospital tonight where she will be having our baby for a "tour". When getting out of the car she said, "You can't take your gun in the hospital!" I just said "Bull-shit I can't. Nobody will even know it's there."

I often carry at hospitals. It's fine as long as you don't enter through the ER with the rest of the gangsters. One time I go fast tracked around the metal detectors when I was delivering a pizza.

Good man!

Having worked armed security for a Vegas casino for 2 years I can say this... what the hell are you doing in there without a gun?!?!

Just kidding, when I'm in casinos, I'm too drunk to carry one too.

Just playing Devil's Advocate here... but they don't know your level of training or experience or anything like that, either.

I LOL'd [ROFL1]

Due to work obligations and security requirements, I'm not really going to press checking a gun to fly and certainly can't carry into the vast majority of facilities I access. However, I do always check either a toolkit or my clothes bag if going sans tools (rare) and one of the EDC knives goes with me and gets carried at all times.
