Just down the street and I don't hear about it until now.
WHEAT RIDGE - A semi carrying cases of beer overturned on the ramp from CO 58 to eastbound I-70 Thursday.
Wheat Ridge police say it happened just before 12:30 p.m., shutting down the ramp for two hours.
The driver was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Police say the driver may have taken the curve too fast.
Cans of beer was scattered all over the shoulder of the highway.
Traffic was being diverted to westbound I-70 while crews cleared the debris.

Ok, makes me feel a little better about things. I'd still take a case if they're just hoping to get it all cleaned up as cheaply as possible.

Oh me too- but I'd wait a few minutes to open any of them- might be a little foamy. [Tooth]

People always go too fast around that curve. There are wrecks there weekly.
Was fishing in the Platte below Bailey once when we heard a big boom etc. Kept fishing a little while later we had Coors floating down the river, we caught quite a few.

This isn't the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last time.
Not until the truck drivers coming out of the Coors plant learn what the "Sharp curve 40 MPH" signs with the flashing yellow signals on top of them mean......[LOL]
The worst thing is, all that beer gets taken to the landfill and destroyed by being crush under the tracks of a dozer.
...Traffic was being diverted to westbound I-70 while crews enjoyed the debris.

Happened to my cousin when he was driving truck. I think he had a load of Heineken!
Hmmm, you wouldn't think it'd happen, though, cuz it was Miller Lite! [LOL]
OK, so that wasn't funny...
But yeah, they have to destroy it, at least officially. If a few cans escaped or were 'unrecoverable', well, that's the real reason that everything was closed! [Coffee]
Wait.. this happened in Wheat Ridge and there is still beer on the side of the road.. I call BS.

Coulda been on my way down there to help with clean up!!!
my first thought: holy crap that is one of the saddest things I have ever seen.
my second thought: those workers are figuring out how to get all remaining beer in their trucks!

Dumbass driver, we just put new batteries in that truck a couple hours before he dumped it.[Rant2]

There were about 20 'day labor' guys hired to help pick it up, 2 got busted attempting to drink it up.

The drivers comming out of the Coors plant just west of there must be sampling their loads for quality, or maybe quantity, this happens on a fairly regular basis on this curve. There are even advance warning flashers for EB traffic well before the curve to warn drivers to slow down before entering it. [facepalm]

Every week there is a sizable crash up there on that curve. Anyone going through there just look at the concrete barriers and you can see all of the rash and black marks from people bumping their way down the on ramp. [ROFL3]

In the fact that it was beer!! Are u blind???
That wasn't "beer", it was carbonated piss.
I have a picture of one of my insured's vehicle smashed into a house. The door was ripped off by fire fighters and a 30 rack of Key Light is spilled all over the place. Never looks good when beer is spilled all over the place at the scene of a wreck.

Semi carrying beer rolls over on Highway 58 in Golden, again
http://kdvr.com/2013/12/18/semi-carrying-beer-rolls-over-on-highway-58-in-golden/
That is crazy
No, that is the beer gods way of disposing cheap beer. [not-worthy]
I hate shitty on ramps. The one here by I25 and 34 they reworked and still is pretty shitty. (Very very tight circle followed by very very very little merging lane...)
I'm sure some of the problem with this one is that people are so used to the slow signs that they slap everywhere for really pathetic curves so they start ignoring them. I'd think any driver for that route would get a special "In 2 years, 37 trucks have wrecked this turn, take this one slow or else."
That article on the most recent one is retarded. "I tried BREAKING but I lost it." [facepalm] That highway interchange is also in Wheat Ridge not in Golden. Either way truckers need to get their shit together over there or CDOT needs to do some onramp modification.
bwahaha, Navajo. Ex client. They have some dumb as fuck drivers.
