Found these two goobers running loose today. Managed to wrangle them into the backyard with some dehydrated duck treats. Still trying to find the owners, but they're having a ball with Harry. Best company I've had over in a long time.

Oh man that's a great pic. I sure wish all animal owners were as respondable as you. Super cool of you to take them in.
I take it your dog is the adorable Rott? We've done this a few times, strays running around, we pull them off the street so they don't get hit by a car. [Beer]
Although a buddy of mine used to have a huskey and he would always tell people who grabbed his dog whenever he went for a run to just let him go, he'll come home, eventually.

Yeah, the Rott is our Harry. It's funny - the little Bassett has been chasing him around. These two strays don't have much street-smarts, definitely would get hit by traffic. Gotta find the owners... the missus is already talking about having four dogs[Bang]
Wait a tick! Is that white one the same dog from your avatar? [LOL]

Hadn't noticed the similarity![ROFL2][ROFL3]
hope you find the owners! Look like good dogs!
They already look like they are brothers man great pic!
4 dogs aren't so bad, if the wife had her way we would get 1-6 more lol
Cuties. Those duck treats make good lures... but you have to lure the ducks first!

Way to go Fentonite. Cuteies. Looks like the Bassett's front paws point outward kind of a reverse pigion toe. [Tooth]

That's funny ... when growing up we had a basset hound and an old english sheep dog at the same time ... sorta looked like that mutt & jeff combo.
Their names were (basset) Andrew Sasquatch Jackson and (old english) Sergeant Major Paddington.
The basset would get a scent and he was off, with the goofy old english bouncing along behind.
"goobers" is the perfect description.

Good for you, Fentonite, for caring for them.
Last time I wrangled two strays I locked them in my barn til the owner could come get 'em. They ate the seat right off my brand new Harley. No other damage...just had a hankering for some Harley saddle, I guess.

They're home! A neighbor on the next block is selling her house, and the realtor left the gate open after a showing. That big goofy one is a "Saint Doodle". I knew they were mixing all kinds of breeds with poodles, but hadn't heard of that one yet. Explains his size though. They were very well behaved, and felt right at home. The Bassett even napped with me on the couch.

You must have the secret sign on your front door or something...first house the wife and I had, we came up with a stray at least once a month. I figured it was like the secret symbol Gandalf scratched on Frodo's door in The Hobbit. [ROFL1]
Good on ya, Fentonite.
Very cool to hear man! Glad I'm not the only one who is bothered to see pups running free.
