There's a thread on the pot amendment (I suspect most of us have our minds made up about it already) but the other two amendments most folk don't know anything about (me included).

Amendment 65: Corporate Contributions (http://ballotpedia.org/wiki/index.php/Colorado_Corporate_Contributions_Amendment,_Amendm ent_65_%282012%29)

So what do y'all think?

Vote and discuss (I left the vote yes vs no on purpose, if you don't have an opinion then maybe the discussion will help).

I can't find the actual language being proposed (why the F is that so difficult?), but a summary I found makes this one seem pretty stupid in the long run.

Colorado Amendment 65 is a nonbinding referendum that encourages the state’s U.S. representatives and senators to support a U.S. constitutional amendment limiting campaign contributions and spending. (emphasis added by me to illustrate how pointless this is)

Does this include unions?

The more I read about 65 the more I'm opposed to it.

Basically we're being asked to amend the Constitution of the Great State of Colorado just to make a political statement asking the Fed.Gov to amend the US Constitution just to keep conservative film makers from making films critical of liberals (basically the Dems are upset that we proles have the right to come together in groups like Citizens United to speak out against them so lets gut the 1st Amendment).

So two problems, 1) amending a vital document for a BS "statement" and 2) gutting political free speech.
