My original status: "I love ignorant outspoken supporters of their candidate who don't have a friggin clue about any of the issues at hand. STUPIDEST retards in the freakin world. A certain presidential candidate certainly caters to the stupid, low IQ demographic."
Him: "Just because you use big, fancy words when you speak doesn't make you a wise man. I can tell you one of those people who was brought up to believe and support certain ideas not giving a mind of your own. Stupid people like you are the reason our country is in a mess.."
Me: "People like me who use "fancy words" are the reason our country is in a mess. Yeah. Let's vote for some retard whose supporters can't. That'll help things. The country certainly couldn't be in a mess because of failed policies or non-existant budgets, or government hand-out programs that we can't afford. Thank you for proving my point"
Him: "What made America so great was the fact that our founded fathers fought for our countries independence..fast forward to today...families are fighting to provide mothers and fathers working double shifts to feed their children...they have no choice but to use government assistance...while the same people who run the government see them as leeches..."
Me: "Maybe if the government would back off of business regulation (that is statistically proven to kill jobs) and stop spending money on useless things such as foreign aid to terrorist countries like Libya, and stop giving benefits to illegal immigrants who have not paid the taxes into those programs that Americans have... maybe the economy would improve and jobs would be made so those people can find jobs that will support them. They wouldn't have to be dependent on handouts. The government assistance programs would be fine if they controlled them the way that they were supposed to be controlled. You can't cut down on who gets benefits (with the exception of non-citizens) until you ease up business regulations, and maybe add some incintives for new businesses to start. Once you have encouraged new business growth, there will be less people dependent on the programs, and therefore the programs can be more effective and actually sustainable for the ones who need it after jobs have been made available, such as disabled people and such. On a different thought, If the government would ease environmental and export restrictions, that could encourage new business that would actually bring in new revenue, instead of just circulating the same money around the internal US economy, and draining it into foreign aid and foreign economies. Ease oil/coal restrictions and our "energy crisis" would be a thing of the past, for at least 25 years. That will give our technology time to advance enough to EFFECTIVELY move away from oil based fuels. In case you didn't know, the energy industry DIRECTLY influences every part of the economy."
